Stayed in this cottage and it did not disappoint! The scenic drive to the cottage was wonderful, rolling hills and very peaceful. Sarah, the owner was in contact and made getting there and into the property super easy. The The drive into the gated property with its tree canopy was beautiful. The cottage was gorgeous, with little momentos of Hobbiton which is the reason we stayed in Matamata, for the Hobbiton Tour and Beer Fest. The breakfast supplied was fantastic, we picked up some smoky bacon to enjoy with fresh eggs and toast. The bed was sublimely comfortable and the backyard was bathed in sun in the Morning. Would absolutely stay here again but this time for a few days longer to really enjoy the cottage and its facilities, and the peacefulness of its location.

Excellent place for a mid-winter family stay. We loved the open plan layout, furnishings and fireplace! Very cosy with the fireplace on and lots of space to relax. The bedrooms were also nicely presented and had all of the required comforts for those cold nights.
Then there is the amazing location with it being only a short walk to the square so you have ready access to everything. You could also walk to some of the nearby vineyards or alternatively borrow the bikes from the garage.
We would not hesitate to stay again when we come back.

When tried to respond to manager the Stayz website just returned a “too many http redirects” error. So would not have been able to communicate with them. Not a problem for the property but for stayz.
