Glenbranter Cottage is a cosy cottage for two located in the Glenbranter forest. A peaceful and secluded glen at the head of Loch Eck, "one of the jewels of the (Argyll) Forest Park" and a part of the Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This charming cottage is ideal for couples who love the outdoors, the perfect place to unwind, relax and explore this beautiful part of the Cowal Peninsula. Let the sounds of the river lull you to sleep.
Featuring an open plan living/dining room, a wood burning stove and comfortable sofa and armchair. A warm and cosy room to relax after a day's adventure to reflect on the beautiful scenery, sights and activities you have close by.
The open plan area includes a small kitchenette area, a small fridge, combination microwave (grill, convection and microwave) and hob. For entertainment, the cottage features Freeview TV (FreeSat), Wi-Fi, a selection of books and DVD’s.
The cottage features one double bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, hand basin and toilet.
For the outdoors there is a lovely garden area to enjoy. The front garden has spectacular views of the beautiful surrounding forest and countryside.
Whether enjoying an evening in the garden soaking up the views or relaxing by the wood burning fire, Glenbranter Cottage is an idyllic holiday cottage for all seasons. An ideal base to explore this spectacular region.
The forest and surrounding lochs are renowned for walking and cycling. The cottage is close to the scenic Allt Robuic gorge and waterfalls, and sits directly on the Cowal Way, a popular 57 mile trail between Inverglas and Portavadie.
Glenbranter also offers an excellent base for more challenging hill walking with a number of easily accessible peaks, rising steeply above Loch Eck and affording stunning views over the Cowal peninsula, the Clyde sea lochs and beyond.
Three miles away is Strachur village, with its two general stores, the famous Creggans Inn offering delicious food and a cosy bar, and the Bay Cottage tearoom's delightful breakfasts, takeaway rolls, and meals throughout the day
One off road parking space and use of a large lockable shed for bikes, and canoes.
Well behaved dogs welcome. Max 2 per stay @ £3 each per night.
