Chalet Ledibach Duplex

Our newly renovated Duplex Penthouse Apartment in Chalet Ledibach is situated far from the hustle and bustle of the busy village centre of Wengen. The 1.2km walk from the Wengen train station is rewarded with a truly unique experience with undoubtedly one of the most stunning views of the Lauterbrunnen valley, Jungfraujoch and surrounding mountains. The duplex penthouse is set over two levels and offers 160 square meters of living space. The idyllic spot to enjoy nature and relax without disturbance. Wengen is a car limited resort which is accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen. Taxis are available to hire in the resort.



Built originally as a barn in the 19th century, the chalet is full of original features and boasts a unique setting with a terraced garden and neighbouring barn. The duplex penthouse has been sympathetically renovated with a real granite slate roof and natural wooden floors.



Please note the property isn't suitable for group parties and is located in a quiet and peaceful residential area.

The depot is located adjacent to the Männlichen cable car within the shop and offers places for more than 1,000 skis, boards and boots. The depot is supervised and is open at the same time as the shop. Every depot space is numbered and a boot drying system is installed.

Spectacular views!

We had an extremely enjoyable stay at this chalet. The views are phenomenal and the accommodations were incredibly comfortable. The agency offered to shuttle us to and from town during our visit but we enjoyed the 12 minute walk. Highly recommend visiting Wengen and staying in this beautiful chalet!

We absolutely adored the chalet!

Everything was beautifully upgraded and the views are easily the best in town and some of our favorites from any trip. Rachel was responsive and helpful. The only downside we can find was how far out of town we were, which was tough with two young children, and taxis were very expensive. However, we determined that the trade off was worth it and we’d still do it again. ☺️ Make sure you pop by On the Rocks cocktail bar in town - one of our favorite watering holes that we frequented often! 🥰

Das Chalet war wunderbar.Die Lage und das Haus waren für uns perfekt. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, sodass man viel kochen konnte. Und sauber war auch alles. wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Aufteilung der Schlafräume war nicht so perfekt. Gut wäre auch, wenn mehr Aufhängemöglichkeiten der Skibekleidung bereitgestellt werden könnten.(z.B. Garderobenständer im Vorflug vor den Schlafzimmern. Im Schlafzimmer mit den 6 Schlafmöglichkeiten wäre eine Nachtischbeleuchtung schön gewesen.

Das Chalet ist ein wenig abgelegen, was aber den Vorteil von Privatsphäre/ Ruhe gibt. Die Einrichtung ist sehr stilvoll aber zugleich auch gemütlich. Perfekte Sauberkeit im ganzen Chalet. Man hat sehr bequeme Betten und sonstige sitzmöglichkeiten. Würde ich jederzeit weiterempfehlen!

Even better than we'd anticipated!

We liked everything about it. Yes, it's a bit of a hike up from the village of Wengen, but the pay-off is SO worth it. And the second half of the hike is on a road through the woods so it really helps you re-set your brain. Plus, it's a great way to work off all the fondue. The house is simply stunning and the view is breathtaking. Even the view out of the back of the house up the hillside of grass, wildflowers, and charming little barns is lovely. It was the most well-stocked kitchen in terms of equipment I've ever experienced in a vacation rental. The beds were cozy and comfortable, there are plenty of spots for relaxing, and it was so nice to have three bathrooms. :) We were there in the summer with mostly lovely weather but the fireplace came in handy on our one stormy night there. It's a beautifully appointed, luxurious home. There's a farm below where you can apparently get eggs, milk, and cheese which we tried to do but the timing didn't work out for us. There's a barn on the property which provides a whole other, albeit rustic, hangout spot. Our teen enjoyed going there to read. It would be great to have screens on some of the windows and doors so the fresh air and breezes can be enjoyed without inviting bugs into the house. Otherwise, the house was just perfect. Thank you so much!
