Your vacation will be a luxury. The Sky Villa is a unique property, perfect to receive you on a family holiday or with friends who want to enjoy the best that life has to offer.

With an outdoor swimming pool with a fantastic view and heated up to 24º, your stay will be a dream. Thanks to its location in a luxury urbanization, this house has a panoramic view of the ocean and the famous Cabo Girão as background for relaxed mornings, warm afternoons and lively evenings.

With an improved decoration and fully equipped to the detail, this property has the maximum capacity to receive 10 people in the 5 rooms available: two suites; one with double bed and whirlpool bath and another two single beds; and three bedrooms with double bed.

Situated between Amparo and Piornais, this villa offers all the facilities and conditions for a large family or for a holiday with your group of friends! In addition to the interior space and large kitchen, which is fully equipped, the villa still has an outdoor space with leisure areas, garden and a beautiful swimming pool, ready for your dives.

The owners live in the house above Sky Villa. Get out of the rut and enjoy staying in this wonderful home. If you rent a car, the house has a private parking area.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
Inserted on a road with few movement, this property is only at ten minutes away from the center of Funchal, its services and multiple restaurants. This area is fairly quiet. Near the house there is a bakery, cafes and supermarkets. In three minutes (by car) you are at the Forum Madeira Shopping Center, where you will find a wide variety of shops, supermarket, restaurants and movie theaters.

GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property is by transfer. Ask us to arrange one with our local partners. It's cheaper than the cabs you'll find at the airport. If you rent a car, any navigation app will easily find the address.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have access to all areas of the flat.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
We are always at your disposal to help or answer your questions. You can contact us via our mobile numbers or by email. We will do our best to meet your requests.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

HOUSE RULES

To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules.

• Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
• Parties or events are not permitted.
• We ask that you be considerate of the neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night.

The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, you may receive a message from our team asking you to check the situation.

In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration.

A municipal tourist tax may be charged (€2 per person per night, up to a maximum of 7 nights).

Check-in: from 4 pm. Early check-in is subject to availability and payment of a fee.
Check-out: by 10:00. Late check-out is subject to availability and payment of a fee.

By making a booking, the guest accepts the house rules and terms of stay.

A fantastic stay!

A great property for groups of friends and families. Lots of space to spread out. An amazing pool and view. A car is useful as the villa is on a hill and it’s quite a walk to shops and restaurants.

Excellent Stay

This property exceeded our expectations for our women's retreat. The location was close to Funchal but not in the hustle of it . I would 💯 recommend it. It does not have air conditioning but it was a beautiful breeze and was perfect for our trip in April.

The views from the Sky Villa were amazing, with gorgeous sights of the ocean and coastline below. The home accommodated our family nicely, and we loved spending time in the pool and hot tub. It also had all the facilities we needed, with a full-featured kitchen and washing machine (no dryer though). The home missed the mark when it came to bedding — I expect a luxury villa to have luxury mattresses/bedding, but it was all IKEA and quite uncomfortable (particularly the pillows). Additionally, one of the bedrooms is an old entryway that has been converted, so you have a door directly to the front porch right alongside the bed. The location is a bit obscure, though that’s to be expected in order to be up above it all, so a drive into Funchal takes approx 20 minutes.

Wonderful Property

Quiet neighborhood that is notably separate from the hustle and bustle of Funchal. There is much greenery below the property before more structures exist which helps keep the surroundings quiet. The glass railings give relief from the winds and the hot tub is nicely positioned. There is covered lounging furniture for when the afternoon showers come which still allows you to sit outside. The glass railings were a bit dirty and the hot tub was not as warm as we prefer when we arrived. I brought this to the property managers attention and both items were immediately addressed.. there is no clothes dryer on property but the do provide clothes hangers which we used and worked okay. We could not find a means of producing ice on the property which we would have enjoyed. The home is very close to some wonderful restaurants and has an easy path to the main highway system. The beds were harder than we prefer but didn’t detract much from our stay. By far we enjoyed the great setting the pool and hot tub area produced. The views are fantastic… we looked forward to wine and sunset watching each evening.

Har hyrt många hus, detta var det bästa vi någonsin hyrt. Poolen var stor, varm och med fantastisk utsikt. Om jag var tvungen att klaga på något så skulle det väl vara att köksknivar var lite slöa.Helt fantastiskt!

Erholung pur in einer Traumvilla

Wir können An Island Apart aus ganzem Herzen weiterempfehlen. Die Sky Villa war ein echter Traum. Schon beim Betreten des Grundstücks ging einem beim unverbautem Blick aufs Meer das Herz auf. Erholung pur. Wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen, unseren nächsten Madeira Aufenthalt wieder über An Island Apart zu buchen.

Amazing stay thank you

Sky villa is a hidden gem, the villa is so beautiful with stunning views. The villa was spacious and had everything we could possibly ask for (we had 8 adults and 5 children). The hosts were very accommodating and great at communicating. Thank you for your help and we hope to stay here again in the future.

stunning view, beautiful pool

this is a beautiful villa, the hill up to it is very steep so you will need to rent a car or use a taxi to get around. You will not be able to walk up and down the hill, the road is narrow and cars come and down. The villa provides fans which go on for 120minutes, these fans are not adequate to cool the villa down. It should really have air conditioning. The villa is well stocked but there were cockroaches and ants in the kitchen The drain in the black bathroom was very smelly indicating a blockage. The water sprayed all over the floor making it very dangerous to walk on post showering. There really should be a screen fitted at the shower to keep the water in . The swimming pool is amazing though and the view is glorious .

Tolles Haus mit gigantischem Ausblick

Guten Morgen aus Deutschland, unser Aufenthalt in der Sky Villa war top. Ein sehr schönes Haus mit gigantischen Ausblick. Auch die Extrareinigung mit frischen Handtüchern in der Urlaubswoche , hat uns eine große Freude gemacht. Wir haben einen Verbesserungsvorschlag. Da in den Bädern keine Steckdosen vorhanden sind, wäre es toll in den Schlafräumen Spiegel in der Nähe von Steckdosen zu haben, um sich vernünftig stylen zu können. Ansonsten alles perfekt. Können wir sehr gerne weiter empfeheln :-) Herzliche Grüße Heike

Outstanding view

Spacious living area which suited a family celebration of 12. The bedroom layout wasn’t suited to us and was of the understanding that all rooms had an en-suite which isn’t the case. The fifth bedroom is a converted entrance to the front door and doesn’t have a window to open. The pool was amazing - the whole family enjoyed it , especially with the spectacular view but we did find that the quantities of chemicals used wasn’t accurate as there was discolouration of hair, clothes and inflatables - tinged green! Even with these hiccups, we all had a fab time and found the island of Madeira utterly beautiful .
