Mill Farm Cottage is situated in the grounds of an old black and white farmhouse, which once functioned as an arable and dairy farm being built during the 16th century. Originally the farm would have used the flow of the River Wye to drive the mill, however an act of parliament in 1696 demanded that all mills on the River Wye and River Lug were removed to allow the passage of boats. Additionally, cider was made at Mill Farm and the equipment remains in good condition on-site.

Situated next to the banks of the River Wye, adjacent to the owners’ home, this detached barn conversion offers a great base to explore the area. Canoeing, boat hire, walking, cycling, and golf can all be enjoyed locally. The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley are within a short drive where outdoor activities such as white water rafting and rock climbing can be found. The cathedral cities of Hereford, with its Mappa Mundi and chained library, and Gloucester are both with easy driving distance. The market towns of Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye are also nearby.
