The Forest of Dean has wildlife in abundance and many picnic sites, with Clearwell Caves, Puzzlewood and Go Ape making for great day trips. Symonds Yat and Yat Rock, where peregrine falcons nest, are popular with climbers and offer stunning views down the Wye Valley.
