About this property

Blue Chill. The perfect place to relax and unwind. Right on the beach!

Blue Chill is located 10kms (15 minutes drive by car) from Jeffreys Bay town in the peaceful rural suburb of Paradise Beach. Easy access to the famous Garden Route and surrounding areas. Jeffreys Bay is one hour's drive from Port Elizabeth International Airport.

Paradise Beach is a largely unspoiled, sparsely populated area where bushbuck, duiker, porcupines and tortoises still roam free (please drive carefully!).

This is the first floor of a house overlooking the beach with lovely sea views and is separate from the owner's main living area.

The accommodation has:

One double room with en suite shower and toilet. Sliding doors open onto a balcony overlooking the sea.

Open plan kitchenette with electric stove, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge, smart TV (YouTube, Netflix, Google) and unlimited WiFi.

Safe parking, barbecue facilities and access to plunge pool.

The steps down to the beach are only 40 metres away and the beach is very quiet, safe and a wonderful place to take a nice long walk (sunrises and sunsets are spectacular!).

We are very blessed to have Humpback and Southern Right whales frequent our bay every year. We often see mothers and their calves frolicking in the ocean right in front of the house (in season).

We love our house simply because of it's great location - far enough from the noise in town and 40 metres from the beach, quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to get away from the rat race and just relax. (Please note, we are about 15 minutes drive from the town centre)

The rooms are bright and sunny and have a lovely sea view, which you can enjoy from the balcony that leads out from each room. Our beach is very safe and perfect for nice long walks as well as fishing. Swimming is at your own risk as there are no lifeguards here.

BONUS Solar backup system on site, this means we are not affected by electrical loadshedding unless there are 2 or more days of rainy weather.

Enjoyed our stay

Nice place to stay off the beaten path not too far from Jeffreys Bay. If you are looking for peace and relaxation just up the stairs from the beach at an affordable price, this is the place. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

Golf breakaway

Wonderful welcome and pre-visit communication with our hostess. We had driven from Cape Town via George to play golf at St Francis and were wanting a peaceful two nights to rest before continuing to PE. The accommodation was private, spotless and comfortable. The decor was tasteful and fun, and for us, having never watched Netflix, it was brilliant to be able to have a dedicated channel to view the latest Oscar nominations and to have access to the splash pool to relax in after a day of sport. We really enjoyed the interaction with our hostess who was readily available with local information and kindly led us to the highway through the rural area when we left to continue our journey down the Garden Route. We hope to return one day. Thank you Kerrie for going above and beyond the normal expectations of what is required for a home away from home.

Emplacement tranquille et superbe vue! On a apprécié notre hôte!

Appartement bien équipé et très propre ! On a passé un très beau séjour au Blue Chill. De longues marches sur la plage...vraiment relaxe! Cependant vous devez prendre votre voiture pour faire des courses ou aller au resto mais pour nous ce n’était pas un souci...on a cuisiné sur le Weber et souper aux chandelles en regardant et écoutant la mer! ;)

Paradies

Der Ort heißt nicht nur so, es ist auch wirklich ein kleines Paradies. Menschenleerer Strand, Geräusche von Wind und Meer und viel Ruhe. Als Abschluss unserer anstrengenden Rundreise durchs südliche Afrika haben wir die Woche im Blue Chill sehr genossen. Kerrie ist eine fürsorgliche Gastgeberin und hat viele Tipps zur Umgebung. Die Wohnung ist geräumig und gut ausgestattet (für 4 Personen). Jeffreys Bay ist ca 20 Fahrminuten entfernt und hat gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und zahlreiche Restaurants. Absolut empfehelenswert ist das "Chameleon" in Humansdorp (ca 30 Minuten, nur Mo-Sa tagsüber geöffnet). Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben und werden sicherlich zurück kommen.

Fantastic place to stay

This place is in a scenic area where you can walk on miles of beach. Very nice clean. Owner very friendly and assisting whenever assistance is required. We enjoyed our stay despite the weather. The comfortable stay made up for everything

I have traveled the world and lived in Zim, the UK, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong. I love meeting new people, the sea, mountains, animals and nature. I am also horse mad and love to ride on the beach.

I am married to an airline pilot who loves the outdoors just as much as I do, when he is not flying you will either find him on the beach or exploring the area.

We have two grown up daughters who sometimes help me if they are visiting.

Why they chose this property

If you are looking for a tranquil place to sit back, relax and unwind away from the fast pace of city life then this is the perfect spot.

We are situated at the far end of Paradise Beach where it is quiet and peaceful. The beach is never crowded and on some days you have it all to yourself!

The views, smells and sounds from the balcony are amazing, you can't get any closer to the sea than this. It's a short stroll to the beach (steps 40 metres away).
