MAY COTTAGE - family friendly with stunning lakeside views
Refurbished in 2018, May Cottage at Castle-Ely-Mill, is our 3 bed sleeps 6, family friendly cottage which was part of the original medieval watermill. The cottage spans the top floor of what was once a stone barn, offering views out across the private fishing lake.
May Cottage sleeps 6 in a double, twin and bunk bedroom, with a large family bathroom - bath, seperate shower cubicle, macerator toilet. The open plan living/dining/kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay, plus amazing views over the grounds.
May Cottage is one of 3 self catering cottages located on the Pembrokeshire/ Carmarthenshire border, mid way between Red Roses and Llanteg. With four and half acres of landscaped grounds and wonderful lakeside views, a stay here offers a peaceful retreat whilst also being within easy access of the many beaches and family activities that the area has to offer - Folly Farm and Oakwood are just a short drive away.
Rose Cottage is a 1 bedroom cottage located below May Cottage.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We love it when our guests have a great stay and appreciate the beautiful views across the lake from all windows of the cottage.
Living on site means we are always available if guests need us, plus it enables us to make sure the grounds are always in tip top condition!
From start to finish we had an excellent experience booking and staying at May Cottage, with hosts Andrew and Suzie, who were extremely helpful and welcoming.
The cottage was spotless with comfortable beds and loads of space for our family of five. The kitchen was really spacious and well equipped and the dishwasher was a nice touch! There is a great laundry room too and the games room and barbecue area were also much appreciated.
We had some great Rudd and Perch from the lake which is very well kept and a pleasant place to sit even if you’re not watching a float! We enjoyed seeing a range of wildlife- dragonflies, toads, jays, woodpeckers and all the waterfowl .
Would highly recommend this idyllic spot which is close to the wonderful beaches and coastal path of Pembrokeshire.

About the host
Hosted by Suzie & Andrew Grimwood
We moved to Pembrokeshire in May 2012 after living and working in the London area for almost 20 years. We decided that it was time for a change of lifestyle so we took a leap of faith, moving from the city to the countryside – and what a great move it has been! We live on site in the converted watermill with our 2 dogs.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this property after seeing it on the internet. Although we viewed a number of other properties in the area which also offered holiday let opportunities, none lived up to Castle Ely Mill. We were captivated by the main house, the holiday let cottages, the grounds and the location. There is so much to do and see within a short drive of here – we are sure that you will love it as much as we do.
