Lovely little cottage! Bed very comfy only slight thing I would mention is WiFi wasn’t easily accessible maybe the details could be in a welcome pack or something lovely and quiet. Go to Lokkys Pan Asian restaurant near by it was excellent! Close to castles and beaches.
We had a wonderful stay at Cardeeth! Loved exploring the local harbour towns and beaches, and the kids loved Archie the dog.
Very comfortable cottage, would definitely recommend!

Lovely break in Pembrokeshire
We had a lovely stay in this great little cottage in Pembrokeshire. The property is on a farm and our children loved visiting the cows and horses every day. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming and we would recommend the property!
We had an absolutely wonderful time here, both in the property and travelling around the area. There’s plenty of things to do with kids (and dogs) and the property was perfect for us. Sally and Ian were totally lovely hosts, very accommodating, friendly and kind, and our dog was a big fan of their dog! We will definitely be coming back, now we’ve discovered such a wonderful place and area.

Sand, sea, sun and a rural farm stay, we had it all. Fantastic hosts Sally, Jim and Archie the jack russel. Thank you so much for a relaxing time away and the yummy spoils!

Loved meeting you guys, especially grateful that you brought some South African weather so we could get the hay in & go to the beach! Hope you’d come back some other time xx
Two thumbs up: The lovely and very tastefully furnished/decorated cottage was the perfect place for us (two adults, one teenager) to discover the beautiful region.
The hosting family is very nice and we always felt most welcomed amongst their premises.
Floor heating on the ground floor was a nice plus to avoid cold feet... :-)
Highly recommended!

A very warm welcome in a comfortable holiday let. Near to some great coastal walks. The kitchen was ok but missing some basic equipment e.g. grill pan, microwave, spatula. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower. All in all, small things!

We loved having Ian & Jan as guests, so respectful and easy company.
Have noted the missing kitchen items, apologies for this. Spatula already replaced (dashed one up from our kitchen), microwave is actually stored in cupboard under the stairs as an optional extra, (have made a new note of that and put in cottage).
Grill and pan is a total mystery! Will order on-line straight away.
We stayed at Stable Cottage for half term with our 7 year old and our dog. The cottage is in a beautiful location on a farm with the local pub and Carew Castle a mile or so away. The patio and decking at the back are completely private and perfect for sitting in the sun with a beer and BBQ! The town of Tenby is easily accessible as are the coast path and local beaches - we especially enjoyed rockpooling at Presipe beach which is about a twenty minute drive away. Overall a perfect stay and we would love to go back again!

Please come back & stay 😃 x
What a great place to stay! Beautiful setting, warm and comfortable but the best thing was our dog's reaction! Our nervous rescue has had the best time away, she made friends with Archie, met a bull and has run on THE most beautiful beaches. It was super windy but coming back to the cottage was the perfect setting with everything we needed. Next time we hope to stay in the shepherds hut. Thank you!

Very much enjoyed our stay : loved all the views from the windows and outdoor seating area (so peaceful). Great base to discover the Pembrokeshire coast. Lots of helpful information in the cottage. The little book became our bible. Ate twice at the local pub opposite Carew Castle, staff very friendly and good choice of menu. Thankyou 🤗

Thank you very much for the lovely review Dawn, Rob and co. Was a pleasure to have you around, makes such a difference to have great guests :)
It's our second time at Sally's place and we can't wait to come back!
As per pictures the barn is really nice and has everything you need. It was spotless.
We visited Manorbier, Barafundle bay, Broad Haven and Freshwater west beaches. And went to Angle for our mandatory lobster roll from Cafe Mor. All within a short drive from the farm.
Sally was again very helpful with check in and any questions/needs we had.
A perfect stay.

Lovely cottage and surroundings in great location.
Stable cottage was perfect for our family. The children loved the bunk beds and found them really comfortable. The cottage was well equipped, having everything that we needed for our stay. It was spotlessly clean and everything was very well thought out. The leaflets about the surrounding area were really useful.
The garden to the cottage was very private, although we didn’t use it much as the children preferred to see the dog, chickens and horses instead!
The area was brilliant. Loads of different things to do and lovely beaches with good facilities.

Hi Graeme and family. Thank you for your great review, it's really very much appreciated. It was so nice to have a lovely family like yourselves around for the week, hope that your stop-over and safari day went well on the way home. Archie the dog was looking for you after you left!
Many thanks again and best wist wishes all at Cardeeth and Stable Cottage :)
A superb holiday from start to finish. Beautiful property in beautiful surroundings. Both Sally and Jim were really welcoming and made everything easy and relaxed. Has to be one of the best holidays we've had in years. Would return without hesitation. The location was excellent with everything we wanted within a 15-20min drive away. Local beaches are superb and there is a huge choice of walks in the local area; the coastline is stunning. The village, just a short walk, has a great pub with good food and atmosphere. Returning back to Cardeeth Farm and Stable Cottage everyday was the icing on the cake. Thank you Sally and Jim, loved every minute!

We LOVE having lovely families like yourselves staying here and great to see you make the most of exploring & enjoying the area. The kind words in your review are really much appreciated. We look forward to hopefully seeing you next time with very best wishes Jim, Sally, Tom Billy & Archie(!) PS if you're ever out on a big motorbike trip in this direction call in :D
We loved our stay at Stable Cottage at Cardeeth farm! The property was well equipped for our family's needs. After days of travelling, we were happy to be able to cook our own meals for a few nights and to just relax in this lovely farm setting. The beds were comfy, the linens crisp and clean and we appreciated the bath and kitchen towels that Sally provided as well. The rural setting was just what we were looking for, with easy driving access to the Pembrokeshire coast. Over our three day visit we explored Tenby, Lydstep, Manorbier and we used the guidebooks provided by Sally at the property to find a couple of beaches that we hadn't expected to visit -- but loved! The Internet wasn't accessible to us during our stay -- but this was likely a temporary matter and it didn't really impact our stay as we were looking to disconnect during this time. Thanks for the lovely stay, Sally! I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family looking for a quiet escape in Wales.

We had a really lovely stay here and the cottage has everything we needed. Sally and Jim are friendly, amenable hosts with good advice on places to visit (Stackpole is fantastic - well worth a trip). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and loved meeting Archie!
We had a very relaxing stay at Stable Cottage. It's an excellent base for walking and visiting the beautiful Pembrokeshire beaches and castles. Sally and Jim were very friendly and extremely helpful with information about the area. One small thing would be to that it would have been nice to have an information book on best places, pubs, walks, tea rooms etc to visit.

Yes, agree and apologies for the lack of guide books, had taken most of the literature out once back open after Covid restrictions lifted. Relied on OS map on wall, along with the Pembrokeshire Visitor Guide Magazine.
Thinking a blackboard & website suggestions maybe useful?
Lovely little cottage but not much locally that you can walk to (evening meal and a drink for example). Missing a few bits and bobs and poor WiFi but nothing that spoiled our break. Lovely coastal walks which you need to drive to.

Thank you for your comments Martina, sorry we didn’t get to meet you on your stay.
Wi-fi can be sensitive to weather conditions, BT upgrading the copper wire to super fast fibre (soon🤞 ).4G is good though.
Most of our guests love to walk down the lane over footbridge to Carew Inn (less than a mile / under 10 minutes) also Carew Castle & Mill loop walk has two tea rooms. Public footpath straight from farm accross fields / woodland to the beautiful Daucleddau Estuary & West Williamston nature reserve.
Also a lovely footpath / lane walk to Milton Brewery, village shop & fish & chip shop.
We think that the walking is incredible from here and avoids the crowds of Tenby / Saundersfoot (10 minute’s drive away) plus 10 minutes drive to many other beaches in the National Park.
Sally & Jim were very friendly, hospitable, and helpful hosts. Whilst they live next door, they were very unobtrusive but available to answer questions if needs be.
The cottage is very cute, everything you need is there. Super quality bedding and pillows, a small point that’s sometimes overlooked by hosts. Fabulous private back yard with decked area, and the front bench is a great sundowner seat.
Perfect! The cottage itself is really nice, warm, charming, nicely decorated and has everything you need. And very clean. The location is great, you can walk to Carew castle and within 10-15 minutes drive you can visit lots of places (Tenby, Marnorbier, Freshwater west, Barafundle bay, Lawrenny...). Owners are very welcoming. Sally gave us really good advice about places to visit and things to do (lobster rolls at Freshwater west!). We wished we could stay longer...
We had a lovely stay, great location in short driving distance to lots of beaches and castles. Nice to see the horses and chickens, dogs loved it as well and it was nice not to have to worry about them.

About the host
Hosted by Sally Kinnear
Love the Pembrokeshire outdoor lifestyle. Enjoy travelling to see new locations and meet people, cooking fresh produce, sports and horses are a passion too. We think that we know Pembrokeshire inside out and would be very happy to pass on any information, however you would rather discover the area peacefully for yourselves then you won't be disturbed. The main farmhouse, where we live is about 100m away at the bottom of the farmyard, there many stone buildings but only Stable Cottage has been converted into guest accommodation. New for this year is a romantic boutique retreat self contained Shepherds Hut tucked away in the top of the orchard, B&B is sometimes available in the farmhouse, guests use a front drive. Please enquire if you are a larger group.
Why they chose this property
We just love the location, its rural but so well placed to access the whole area. After moving to Cardeeth we did up the farmhouse, Jim specialises in renovating and developing stone properties. The pretty stone barn at the top of the farm was perfect for converting into cottage. It was lovingly worked on and completed in 2003. This is a very scenic area. Walk to Carew, look in the castle & mill. Carew Inn does a great pub meal has live music and outside bbq's & a roaring fires in winter. Home made cakes with a cuppa at Juju's French Mill tea rooms are a must. The river estuary is full of wildlife, great for kayaking or paddle boards. Visit Pembroke where King Henry VII was born, Manorbier castle overlooking the beach, many more. There are many events on. Films, plays & shows in The Torch Theatre Lawrenny Arms, food by the river, Quay rooms in Lawrenny for lunches & teas, The famous Cresselly Arms, Cresswell Quay by the river. Tenby & Saundersfoot have award wining beaches, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Narberth has lovely independent shops and cafe culture.
What makes this property unique
Known across the world for its legendary coastal scenery and protected by Britain’s only coastal National Park, Pembrokeshire is the perfect holiday destination. Golden sands backed by towering cliffs teeming with wildlife that are just as beautiful in summer was they are in winter. There is a huge choice of award winning golden sandy beaches to visit, the Stable Cottage in a central spot to reach so many of them. Head west to Barafundle again recently voted top 10 in the World, Freshwater West holds surf championships and always worth a visit, Cafe Mor is there through the summer (fab local 'street food'). Manorbier, Tenby and Saundersfoot are amongst the Blue flag awards winners and so many more magical spots to discover in between. There are many castles. Walk to Carew, an C11th Norman castle. Visit Pembroke where King Henry VII was born, Manorbier castle overlooking the beach, Llawhaden on the 'Landsker' line and many more. There are many events on in the county. Films, plays and shows at The Torch Theatre, Milford Haven. Festivals like Tenby Blues, The Really Wild Festival in St Davids, Big Retreat Wales in Lawrenny. Pembrokeshire County Show, Easter Monday Point-to-Point horse races in Lydstep, Martletwy Agricultural Show. Iron Man Wales and The Long Course Weekend have made this a mecca for triathlon lovers, we are on the bike route and have taken part in both. This is a brilliant base to go training from. Being a rural county there is great local produce available in local farm shops and farmer's markets. Tourist attractions like Heatherton Country Park, Oakwood Theme Park has the biggest wooden roller coaster in Europe, Manor House also known as Annas' Welsh Zoo, doing amazing things for saving the Black Rhino and Sumatran Tigres. Carew Karting, fast and furious. Tenby and Saundersfoot have award wining restaurants, pubs and cafes. A day trip to St Davids, the smallest city in Europe. Solva and Porthgain near there too. Skomer Island is a natural paradise
