The lodge is a Tingdene, which is 40 feet long and 20 feet wide. It has 3 bedrooms. Two are doubles with TVs (one of which is an en-suite, with shower). The third bedroom is a twin. There is a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The living (sofa with 2 recliners, TV and fire), dining and kitchen (oven hob and extractor, fridge/freezer, dish washer and microwave) area is all open plan. From the living area there is a set of double doors opening out to the back and a private decked area, with views towards the North York Moors. There is also a hot tub and outdoor furniture in the decked area. There is space outside to park 2 cars. WiFi available.

The property is located within a private gated development, bordering the North Yorkshire Moors, and situated on the edge of the pretty village of Burniston. There is a village shop, and several local country pubs nearby.

It is a 10 minute drive from the popular seaside town of Scarborough, with its many attractions, including the beach, Marine Drive, Sealife Centre, Water Park, Scarborough Spa, Open air theatre. Throughout the year there are many events to appeal to young and old alike.

The historic town and harbour of Whitby is approximately 25 minutes drive away, and the quaint harbour of Staithes is a short drive beyond.

Other seaside resorts nearby include Filey and Bridlington.

There are many good beaches nearby, other than Scarborough, including Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Skinningrove and Saltburn.

The area is a walkers paradise, with many good walks with exceptional views and breath taking scenery along the coast, and also inland in the North York Moors. These include the Cleveland Way, which follows both an inland and coastal route.

Local events include artists and bands at Scarborough Spa and the Open Air Theatre. The popular cycling event the Tour de Yorkshire regularly visits the area at the start of May.

Local wildlife is abundant, with deers regularly spotted from the property, and guaranteed seal spotting at Ravenscar.

We really enjoyed our stay in the lodge, location was great, plenty to do nearby very quiet on site. Weather was great so we used the hot tub a lot. Thing to note is the access time and departure times are different than on web site, due to Covid times have changed.Paul

A really spacious cabin and very well equipped. 3 good sized bedrooms, plenty of room in the kitchen and a massive T.V. Really good value for money. We had a girly weekend and it was perfect for us. The hottub was lovely and clean and well maintained with fabulous views. The welcome gift of a couple of bottles of wine was a really nice touch.

Lovely peaceful place, lodge was very nice a spacious. Jot tub was good but i think thr decking might need renewing.. There were a lot of flies, so perhaps citronella candles and a fly screen would work. Beds very comfortable and clean. Kitchen well stocked with crockery and pans.

Great little hideaway lodge

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, the hot tub was great and there was loads of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Well equipped and in a quiet location not far from Scarborough. Only (very) slight niggle that’s hardly worth mentioning is the WiFi was patchy at best. Overall though fantastic and would stay here again

Fantastic

If I was been super picky could have been abit cleaner in parts but overall the lodge was stunning hot tub amazing also the Huge tv in living room was great very comfy and would definitely stay again
