About this property

40ft x 20ft luxury holiday lodge near Scarborough; 3 bed, sleeps 6, hot tub

The lodge is a Tingdene, which is 40 feet long and 20 feet wide. It has 3 bedrooms. Two are doubles with TVs (one of which is an en-suite, with shower). The third bedroom is a twin. There is a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The living (sofa with 2 recliners, TV and fire), dining and kitchen (oven hob and extractor, fridge/freezer, dish washer and microwave) area is all open plan. From the living area there is a set of double doors opening out to the back and a private decked area, with views towards the North York Moors. There is also a hot tub and outdoor furniture in the decked area. There is space outside to park 2 cars. WiFi available.

The property is located within a private gated development, bordering the North Yorkshire Moors, and situated on the edge of the pretty village of Burniston. There is a village shop, and several local country pubs nearby.

It is a 10 minute drive from the popular seaside town of Scarborough, with its many attractions, including the beach, Marine Drive, Sealife Centre, Water Park, Scarborough Spa, Open air theatre. Throughout the year there are many events to appeal to young and old alike.

The historic town and harbour of Whitby is approximately 25 minutes drive away, and the quaint harbour of Staithes is a short drive beyond.

Other seaside resorts nearby include Filey and Bridlington.

There are many good beaches nearby, other than Scarborough, including Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Skinningrove and Saltburn.

The area is a walkers paradise, with many good walks with exceptional views and breath taking scenery along the coast, and also inland in the North York Moors. These include the Cleveland Way, which follows both an inland and coastal route.

Local events include artists and bands at Scarborough Spa and the Open Air Theatre. The popular cycling event the Tour de Yorkshire regularly visits the area at the start of May.

Local wildlife is abundant, with deers regularly spotted from the property, and guaranteed seal spotting at Ravenscar.

If you are looking for a nice quiet place to stay ! This lodge is amazing it’s spotless clean and everything you need. It’s like a home from home and the hot tub is amazing. I would highly recommend this place to stay. And the two bottles of wine was a lovely touch

The lodge was just what we needed. Hot tub was great. Diane even left us a nice bottle of red and white wine(nice touch). The inside was so clean and tidy. The tv was massive. All round great place to stay and not very expensive.

Hottub was warm and relaxing, beds were comfortable to sleep in and the place has a big screen tv to watched whatever was on, it was perfect for a nice relaxing bank holiday weekend away, there were a couple shops only a 5 minute drive away and Scarborough was only a 10 minute drive, 100% absolutely recommend :)

I don’t know how it can be described as a luxury lodge it was nothing like the pictures shown we were looking forward to being able to sit outside but the table and chairs were wooden not rattan. The carpet was coming up in the hallway the whole place needs a good clean and paint. Only stayed one night as it was so bad. I have attached photos but believe me it was a lot worse. Even the outside was overgrown and not shown in any of the pictures online.

Badly needs repainting outside.Outside furniture disgraceful and dangerous with several screws sticking out which would be dangerous if you didn’t see them. Table rotting and repaired by a cowboy. Raised nails near the hot tub. Broken plastic bin. Dirty plate rack. A lot of attention is needed. This property because of lack of maintenance cannot be classed as luxury. I do have photographs if you would like to see them.

Good location, disapointed with the overall cleanliness , lodge is looking very tired, bathrooms had, black mould in both showers, green mould on shower screens and bath panel is in poor condition.picture on the website does not match the outside area which is in a poor condition. Beds were really uncomfortable, chair covers in the lounge where dirty and in need of a wash.
