We had a great stay in this lovely, well-equipped villa. The owner was friendly and responsive and the villa was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The villa is very well situated for exploring the local area and within easy reach of both Narbonne and Carcasonne. We left feeling very refreshed and would certainly recommend staying here to explore this beautiful part of France.
We spent a very pleasant week in this comfortable and well-equipped house. We greatly enjoyed the swimming pool, especially considering the heat wave we faced upon arrival. Although the house has no air conditioning, there is a fan in each room. The environment is quiet and relatively close to many places of interest (abbeys, castles, etc.). Our host was very responsive and attentive to our wishes. It was an excellent holiday week, perfect for combining culture and relaxation.
This was a lovely property that had everything we wanted had a great pool, comfortable bed great location but despite taking every precaution we were badly bitten. We have been coming to France for the last 40yrs and have never ever been bitten like we were this year, and although haven’t been in the South for about 4 yrs Tiger mosquitoes were just starting to raise their heads at that time - sadly even with precautions of spray, candles, long sleeves we couldn’t sit out to eat during the evening without ending up with severe bites. Maybe cutting back some of the shrubbery or setting mosquito traps would help but if you come to this area be prepared !

House and pool are absolutely great. In the house is everything you need and more. It is spacious and cool.
We had a very nice time.
If Ventenac had a few more amenities, besides the 2 mediocar restaurants, and indeed a tiny shop, that closes at 12, it would have been a perfect stay.
Fabulous property in a lovely village. The villa is really well equipped and easy to look after. The pool is really refreshing. Bread and basics available in the little shop by the canal.
This is the 6th time we stayed here but hadn’t been since 2012. We have many happy memories of being here with our daughters. We love cycling and there are lots of options from Ventenac. Sadly the beautiful shade once offered by the canal is no longer there due to the trees being killed off. This made cycling the tow path a more challenging activity . This is an excellent base for a holiday in this lovely area.
This was probably our sixth visit. We like the shady garden, the pool right by the house and two minute walk to groceries, two canal-side restaurants, not to mention the wine chateau and its cellar where one can taste and buy.
An important benefit is the insect screening on the windows.
