On Saturdays morning walk for 10 min up to Praça do Principe Real for the market of home-made olive oils, soaps and cereal. The prices are not on the low side, but bargaining is always possible and appropriate. It is also worth strolling around the beautiful Principe Park and surrounding area, with its busy open air cafes and shops. The Príncipe Real market is one of the most popular for handicrafts and bric / a / brac in Lisbon. On the last Saturday and Monday of each month you will also find unique antiques and handicrafts from various periods and provenance in the lovely and calm surroundings of the park.
Every other day Principe Real is the best place to find a good restaurant, for street shopping, to have a coffee or an ice cream on a terrace, and to enjoy a good view of the city. Night life has its ways around here and Bairro Alto, through Praça Luis de Camões and down to Cais do Sodré.
