The apartment is located in the historic center of Lisbon, in the neighborhood of Sao Cristovao and São Lourenço. The apartment is on the 1st floor of an eighteenth century building which was built after the earthquake of Lisbon in 1755 and was recently renovated (2011). These works were carried out as part of an architecture.
The apartment has a good light and comfort. It has wireless Internet available, and even cable TV. Here you can take a Nespresso coffee or enjoy a good bottle of Portuguese wine.
This area is very close to the São Jorge Castle (10 minutes walk) and the same distance the river and the Bairro Alto. It's very central as it is in the heart of the city. It is very near Rossio Square and Figueira Square. It is 1 minute from Rossio subway station and a car park. It has many means of transport available right next door (metro, bus, tram and taxi) and the different trade, including a mini-market.
It is a very quiet area and the building is situated in a typical pedestrian stairway to the castle of San Jorge.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lisbon. Andre the owner is exceptional and goes out of his way to make your vacation memorable. From the time we met at a local cafe we knew we had made a new friend! The apartment is so central to all attractions. Loved it!

Amazing!

I LOVED my stay! The apartment was clean, central, and had just enough space for a solo traveler or two people. Andre was helpful, and was so kind for getting me to the room after I arrived after a long haul flight. He also provided small batch port that was delicious! I would stay again and recommend this place to anyone coming to Lisbon.

Small but cosy

Small but very well equipped apartment. Andre couldn’t have been a better host. Super communication before travel, sent lots of information and suggestions for our trip to Lisbon. Collected us at airport. Location very good. Nice furnishings, comfortable bed and powerful shower. Would book again if back in Lisbon.

Great location and matches description

Appartement is spotless, as in photos. Small but big enough for 2. Comfy bed. Left extra bottle of wine and provided ample tourists details picked us up complimentary at airport upon arrival. Easy communication and accommodating. Central located and can do most of the visits by feet. The only negative was few couple junkies down the street shouting during the day (only). As a couple we did not feel threatened but we wouldn’t have felt comfortable with younger kids.

Tourist friendly location Lisbon

Overall the interior of apartment was very clean and with all amenities we needed. Living area and kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. However this street does not have air conditioning and weather was 30 degrees hot. Location to tourist areas was awesome and easy to walk. Host Andre was very prompt professional with all his communication. Thank you, Bruce.

Centrally located pied-à-terre

André, our host, couldn't be more helpful and welcoming! Well before we arrived in Lisbon, he provided us with useful information to ensure that we maximized our stay. Any questions were always answered promptly. Check-in was very smooth. The location of the unit was perfect. We could easily walk to many sites located in Lisbon. Best Lisbon apartment!

Not only is André’s location in the heart of Lisbon, He is without a doubt the BEST host you could have asked for. André truly loves his city and make sure to give his guest the best out of a Lisbon adventure. André efforts were much more than expected and extremely helpful. The apartment was a perfect size with everything you will need. Neighbors were welcoming and kept themselves. André’s location will be our forever home in Lisbon. I would highly recommend.

Perfect location

We can not recommend André highly enough. He responds quickly to all emails and provided a wealth of information before arrival. We were pleasantly surprised when he offered to collect us from the airport but even more pleased to discover how well situated the apartment was and not having too many steps to reach it was a real bonus. André took time to explain how everything worked and recommend some restaurants and attractions. The apartment was spotless and as we expected from the pictures with everything we needed for our five night stay. This was our first visit to Lisbon and within a couple of days were already talking about returning next year, if we do we would hope to be able to stay here again. Helena & Mickey N Ireland

Great stay

The property was spotless it was probably the cleanest one I have ever stayed in They really went the extra mile on that .and when I came in after my day out as soon as I open the door it smelled so nice . The owner added touch picking g me up from the airport was definitely a plus after a long flight fro US and no sleep I would never have found it.It was close to all public transportation owner got back really quick with questions. Would definitely stay again if ever back in area. There are stairs inside apartment to go up and also some stairs to get to apartment. If you have a mobility problem that could be and issue for you.I am 70 I did find with the steps but I am very active so that made a difference. So if your coming this way check this place out.

We had an amazing time staying at André’s unit in Lisbon. André is the perfect example of how every host should treat their guests—he picked us up at the airport, left us wine, delicious pastries, and a special Port that we absolutely loved. He was always available if we needed anything. The apartment is in a great location, perfectly situated between Lisbon’s main neighborhoods.There were occasionally some homeless people outside the building, but they never interacted with us or caused any issues. The unit also got a bit warm during the heatwave, but we expected that given the weather and lack of AC.Overall, it was a fantastic stay and a big part of why we loved Lisbon so much. Highly recommend!

Good apartment, unsafe location.

Lisbon is a beautiful city and we had some memorable moments. Not the least of which were our culinary adventures. We had the best food of our entire trip in Lisbon, thanks in part to Andre’s recommendations. Andre was very helpful and his small apartment lived up to expectations: it was nicely decorated, well appointed and equipped. The problem was the location. The apartment was in an unsafe area of town. It was tucked in a quiet backstreet just off the main drag, which seemed very appealing to the less fortunate members of Lisbon’s society. When we first arrived, there were about 5 people strewn about the steps: one was totally prone - presumably asleep - the others were sitting on the steps in various stages of inebriation or intoxication from alcohol and/drugs. A M/F couple were sitting on a step exactly outside our front door and were still there when we returned from dinner later that evening. A couple of males were there the following night and tried to engage us in conversation while we struggled to unlock our door. Throughout the 1st two nights there was considerable noise outside, mostly loud shouting of a profane nature. This cleared on the 3rd and 4th nights, presumably because police attended a domestic disturbance and frightened the street people away. But the damage was done. We were apprehensive about returning to the apartment at any time of day but especially after dark. We witnessed two males urinating against the walls which created an unpleasant odor.

Accueil et appartement parfait

Little gem in a big city

This is a wonderful, comfortable home well stocked with anything you might need. It is so easy to walk or tram anywhere in Lisbon. Grocery and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Andre is a fabulous host picking us up at the airport and providing a full day private tour. Everything rates an excellence! We would be so fortunate to stay here again.

I was born in Lisbon. This is where I grew up, studied, worked, dated and married. Working in shifts, I decided to leave the city center of Lisbon, be established in a quiet place to rest. I love to travel and see the world around me. I like being with friends, organize dinners with wine tasting. I love photography, music and a good movie for me stir feelings. I am a friend of my friend and I appreciate sincerity.

Why they chose this property

The apartment was bought for my daughter to have a place to stay in admission to the University. I am preparing her future but she is only 13 years old and until it is available shouldnt be used because the closed building, unused for several years, it will be more easily degraded.

What makes this property unique

The apartment has a quiet environment. The building where it is located, has only two tenants (one upstairs and one downstairs), which helps no noise and be friendly. The location is good because it is within the city center. And while you are at the beginning of the hill, a staircase where there are no cars and giving access to the Castle of San Jorge. Magnificent.
