Twin Pines is nestled in a quiet neighborhood between downtown Leadville and Turquoise Lake. 3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. This property affords you a relaxed location with convenience to all the outdoor fun Colorado has to offer; downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing in the winter / and rafting, kayaking, biking, golfing, hiking, fishing in the summer. This well appointed cabin has all the comforts of home; kitchen with all appliances, comfortable, multi seated living room, dining room for 6 or more, private back yard that opens to the forest for immediate hiking, three bedrooms (two queens and one with twins) and one full bathroom and one 3/4 bath. Enjoy the electric glow fire place, no messing with wood and/or worry with gas. Just a hop to the notable historical sites and quaint shops and restaurants of downtown Leadville. There is plenty to enjoy! (Internet access and radio available, however, NO T.V. for the true mountain getaway experience!)

Great location! Minutes to town fish hatcheries, turquoise lake! Everything in the house worked perfectly!! Heater is amazing! 5 adults never ran out of hot water!! Very cozy and welcoming place!

Nice Stay

We used this cabin for a base camp basically. The great thing is the cabin is close to all the OHV trails so not a long drive to have fun. Plenty of things to do a short distance away. Leadville is a neat town if you want to explore there as well. Town on a Hill Coffee shop was a daily trip for us. The cabin itself is nice. Could use an update to the master shower to make it a little bigger. Other than that, no complaints and we would stay here again. The clown is a fun little bonus that we had fun with as a family too.

Felt like visiting grandmas house!

This charming home brought back childhood memories of grandmas house. Everywhere you look, the house is packed full of unique pieces of times gone by. There was more than enough towels, bedding, kitchen supplies, plates and flat ware. Lots of everyday needs that we had ample supply to restock. We celebrated my dad’s 80th birthday! Several friends and family showed up Saturday and surprised him for dinner. It was a perfect place as there were plenty of chairs and table space that we all had some where to sit. We didn’t have to use any paper plates or plastic forks since the kitchen was well stocked! The only thing we bought was a cutting board. The beds were comfy. Plenty of porch space to stash our fishing gear. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is there was a hick up on our check in process and a bit of miscommunication. The host did a great job of making things right as quickly as he could. We come to Leadville nearly every year for 8 days. We would not hesitate to reserve this house again!

Leadville base-camp

This was a great location near the mountain hikes we wanted to do on our trip. Lots of space for our family of 6 to spread out. Plenty of towels/linens and cooking equipment. Quiet neighborhood. Check-in and check-out very easy.

Leadville leisure

We stayed in this beautiful cabin while skiing and enjoying activities around Leadville. The cabin was well appointed, clean and warm, and just a short ride out of town. The beds were extremely comfy, and the kitchen had everything needed for everything from sandwiches to a home cooked meal, although we found it easier to eat out generally. Dan was prompt on messaging for any questions and I would not hesitate to re-book when in this area. Leadville is a beautiful little town, and the surrounding area is a great place top explore whether by Xcountry ski or snow-bike in the winter to motorcycling in the summers. Thanks Dan for helping to make our little vacation a great memory!

Snowboard Homebase

Leadville and this location are fantastic places for a snowboard trip. Avoid I 70 and have access to multiple resorts within an essy hour drive!

Great Cabin with Local Access

This was a great cabin which is only minutes from downtown Leadville. It is like a snap shot from the 70's with a cozy feel. Check in and out was easy, and included all the amenities which you need. Listing was accurate. A couple quirks as well as dated carpet due to being an older home, and internet is fairly slow (avg 4mbs) but doable. It was perfect for our needs.

I was one of the runners for the trail event in Leadville. This place was so close to the start line, and it was incredible. This place is so good, I am considering making Leadville my place of residence now.

Good Day and welcome to Leadville. I am a native of Colorado and grew up skiing all the local areas. One summer a friend got me into kayaking on the Arkansas River down by Buena Vista. So I found this great location in the middle of skiing in the winter, and boating in the summer. Leadville itself has much to offer beyond all that. Just the history is so amazing. Imagine, it was going to be the capital city of Colorado at one time! You can see why with all it's beauty, rich history and all the extraordinary activities at it's finger tips.. There is so much here to love and enjoy.

Why they chose this property

Great location close to skiing, sledding, the lake and downtown Leadville. Not to mention the Arkansas River for kayaking or rafting and the fantastic views no matter what you enjoy.
