Welcome to Casa Romero, this is my childhood home where I spent the happiest days with my late-mom, dad & brother. It's been my dream to convert this unique, rustic home into a place where family & friends gather to make new memories. The newly renovated home has special modern touches, while maintaining its vintage charm. Historic downtown Leadville is a mere 10-minute walk, so you can explore the historic mining town. You won't find another home like Casa Romero. We Love Leadville, You will too.

This was our 2nd stay here and just like last time, the owner was extremely communicative and house was the perfect accommodation for our party of 6.
The patio table was a lovely addition to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and dinner outside.
The beds are comfortable and it's very convenient access to town and the other roads to/from Leadville for driving.
Thank you Alberta for always going above and beyond, hope to stay here in the future!
Leadville is a cute small town. This house was located 15 minutes away from Ski Cooper, and only 6 minutes away from the main downtown road.
There were only a few issues at the home, but after a quick call to the owner, all was fine and well. The house is roomy and fairly welcoming. It does seem to be a little bit of a work in progress, but overall not too bad for a nice weekend getaway.
My family and I would book this property again for another family get-together.
The house was in a great location, just 15 minutes south of Ski Cooper. We had 3 adults, 4 kids. We cooked all of our meals at the house but spent most of our time on the slopes. The house was older but clean and well set up. We could have used more seating for meals as the kitchen is really only set up for 4 (including seats, plates, bowls). The bathrooms are very nice, fully remodeled, although the main bathroom doesn't have a door. Beds were comfortable. Host was easy to work with. The only other things we really missed were hooks. We had coats and ski pants for 7 draped over our travel totes as there was no place to hang them. A set of hooks on the wall beside the front door or a coat tree would be super helpful. And there is only 1 outdoor trashcan which we filled pretty quickly. But we would definitely stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Alberta Romero
I was born in Leadville and this is my childhood home. Our family moved away in 1983 when the mine shut down and my mother was very ill with cancer. She loves Leadville and her home. That is what makes my home so special to me. I am a mother to 2 beautiful daughters and a grandma to a little girl and a baby boy.
Why they chose this property
My childhood neighborhood holds many special memories. The neighbors to the south are the same ones since I was born. They are special to me.
What makes this property unique
There is certain things that I did not change like the mirror wall in the bathroom, a small area of carpet in the closet of the red room. (I think my mom’s favorite color was red) the columns between the living room and large bedroom. (Another of my mom’s favorite) I converted the large room into a bedroom. It used to be our family room. The kitchen cabinets were made by my dad over 50 years ago. My house is extremely special to me.
