Better than in photos
This place was great. Loved the architecture and the patio views. We spent most of our time there! The beach accessories were also so helpful and increased our enjoyment at the beach. Great value!

Fantastic and amazing home on the Riviera
My family had a wonderful stay at Casa Riviera. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood and close to downtown State Street, the pier, East Beach, the Funk Zone, golfing, and pretty much anything you'd like to do in Santa Barbara. The home is beautifully done and very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms were great with comfortable beds and high quality linens and having so many bathrooms ensured my entire family could all get ready at the same time for a night on the town after a fun day at the beach. Connie, the property manager, was very nice and incredibly responsive, and the property owners, Jennifer and Jorg, were a delight to work with. We had a couple of issues that were responded to and addressed immediately. Overall an excellent stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property in the near future. One last note - the owners are doing some landscaping on the lower grounds of the property and while it wasn't completed during our stay, I imagine when finished it will make the home even more spectacular than it already is.

Beautiful, fun house
This is a quality property, a most unique house built around a huge old oak tree. From many windows it feels like being in a tree house. Many steps everywhere which was fine for us but would be difficult for people who can't use stairs easily. I can recommend without hesitation.

Host profile image
We love to travel and adore Santa Barbara for its beaches, Spanish history and architecture, vibrant dining scene, and access to wine country. We are cycling and surfing enthusiasts. Our photo is from the 4th of July concert in the Courthouse garden.

Why they chose this property

This home and setting are magical. Our kids call it the "treehouse." The house was designed around a huge oak tree and has many unique features. Very private with sweeping ocean views in a beautiful residential setting. We love the location - a short walk to State Street shops and restaurants and to the Mission.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with the craftsmanship of this home. Much love went into the renovation - preserving its Spanish colonial history while updating it with all the modern conveniences. It was built around a giant 150 year-old oak tree. Stunning!
