This beautifully renovated miners’ cottage at Hendre Rhys Gethin offers a stylish and comfortable retreat just a short, level walk from Betws-y-Coed village centre, home to a great selection of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs.

Ideal for couples, the cottage provides a cosy yet refined base for exploring Snowdonia National Park, with easy access to scenic walks, waterfalls and some of North Wales’ most popular attractions and outdoor activities.

Thoughtfully furnished with high-quality finishes throughout, this luxury cottage combines character and comfort, making it perfect for a relaxing short break or romantic escape in Snowdonia.

A generous rear patio provides an excellent outdoor space, furnished with a dining table and chairs, along with additional seating and a coffee table - ideal for relaxed meals and outdoor evenings.

The cottage is a traditional natural stone building with oak windows and doors and a Welsh slate roof. To the front, there is a grassed area and private parking.


Local Area

Just a 10-minute walk to the village centre, yet far enough away to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay.


Getting there

Leaving Betws-y-Coed on the A5 towards Capel Curig, continue until you exit the 20 mph zone. The Dragon Chinese Restaurant and Hotel will be on your left.

Continue for approximately 300 metres. After passing the forestry gate, take the next entrance on the left.

Once you turn in, keep to the right-hand side, and you’ll see the courtyard entrance on your left.


Accessibility

- Level parking is available with step-free access to the front of the property.
- There is a small step over a slate cill at the front door.
- Access through the rear door and onto the patio also includes a small step.
- The ground floor is level throughout.
- The staircase leading to the bedroom and bathroom is narrow (approximately 650 mm wide).
- The bathroom includes a low-threshold shower tray.

Glandwr - long weekend break

Excellent choice of property for a couple; very clean and comfortable, stylish bedroom and bathroom. Only 10 mins on foot to the centre of Betws-y-Coed. Delightful owner who made us feel very welcome on arrival.
