It has potential, however there was a wet wall in the second bedroom, the dishwasher didn’t work, the oven didn’t heat and yes we pressed the switch on the wall. One job didn’t work. The main bedroom had duck tape over part of the window frame. I’ve stayed in many cottages in this area over the years. Disappointing to have had such a lack of finish and care when spending the same money. With a little bit of care and love this place could be fantastic. However it is lacking and its competition in the same village is fierce!

Fantastic view

There were issues. For example the cottage had a few damp spots from a year in lockdown and was waiting to be decorated. There is no Wifi and the TV and video didn't work. We had a laptop which played DVDs so that was fine. I wasn't impressed that two agencies, VRBO and Sykes Holiday Cottages each charged £90 for their services, raising considerably the cost of a modest small Welsh cottage let for only 5 nights. The beds were very comfortable but what wasn't clear from the photos was quite how small the rooms were. However we had a lovely time there, it was a great base for walking and the sunset we watched over the hill on the first night was sublime.
