Directly opposite the Salisbury Cathedral, this three bedroom Edwardian town house is perfect for a relaxing break or convenient work based stay in Salisbury. Situated only a few minutes walk from the town centre, the house is a stone's throw from the pubs, shops and historic city sites. Easy access to bus and train stations for exploring Stonehenge and the Wiltshire countryside. This stunning, artistic home provides convenience and comfort, with everything you'll need for an enjoyable stay.
Location: In the hustle and bustle of Exeter Street and next door to one of our favourite pubs (The Chapter House), the house couldn't be in a better location to explore Salisbury and it's beautiful surroundings. Within 1 minute you can enter the famous Cathedral Close, which has beautiful green space, a National Trust property, museums and historic homes.
Getting around: As our house is on one of the central town roads it is very easy to get around the city by foot or public transport. We do not have parking on site, however there is a covered long-stay car park 4 minutes walk from the house. There is also an area next to the house where you can stop temporarily to unload your luggage.
The house is a 5 minute taxi ride or 15 minute walk from the train station, and bus stops are close by. The town centre is a 2 minute walk making it ideal to explore on foot.

Great stay, location was great, good communication with owners. Used their food recommendations.. food from the local Chinese and then the Indian which was great .
Great Location and hosts. We had extremely rough internet provisions (3mbps). Service 4G was faster and used in lieu. This was a huge checkbox for us since this is during US university midterms. It was the only bummer. All else was FANTASTIC.
This is a very nice house that is extremely well placed for the Cathedral Close. It is on a busy road but generally one doesn't notice the traffic once inside the house.
First, the only way go stay closer to the cathedral would be to pitch a tent on the lawn! So much room, large kitchen and separate dining room. Really large bedrooms. Entire house super well kept and clean. We are picky travelers and we loved this place!
You cross the street and walk through the gate, and the Cathedral is right there!
Large/spacious kitchen and dining room with lots of natural light. The mattresses are not quite as comfortable as we have become used to—-you can definitely feel the springs.
Overall, our family (5 adults) had a great time in Salisbury and really enjoyed our stay in this apartment.

Contact with the owner was very positive and helpful. However, the information on the website doesn't match reality. For example, there's no barbecue or dryer, and parking with a roof box on the car isn't easy in the area. Fortunately, Alex was willing to arrange a parking space across the street for us, as I have a disabled parking permit (a blue badge). The house has plenty of room for the four of us. The living room has a sofa that, in our opinion, leaves a bit to be desired. The upstairs beds are dated and very rickety for someone who is heavier. The street in front of the house is very busy and difficult to cross, but the view of the cathedral is magnificent! For a short stay this house is an excellent option.
Splendid Location, Great Sites, Lots of Personality
Stayed at this home as part of a lengthy excursion throughout southern England. Needed a good base of operations from which to explore Stonehenge and locations south.
The home sits on a relatively busy street into town, but traffic really lightens up in the evening and stays that way at night. Two of the three bedrooms face the street, while the third is tucked in the rear, which is considerably quieter . Kids slept in the front bedrooms and did not complain about the noise, but at theirs ages (7 - 17), they can sleep through practically everything.
The bathroom is located on the second floor (or first, if you're not from the states), and there are some half steps into and out of a couple rooms (bathroom included), which could make for possible trip hazards at night. We left the light on in the bathroom, and that seemed to do the trick.
The home was as described. Some of the furnishings were on the older side, but that gave the property a wonderful lived-in feel. Our 17-year-old said, our first evening in town, "I really like this place. I could stay here forever."
The property is just across the street from the famous cathedral and museum (definitely worth a look), a five-minute walk from the square at the center of town, and close to local shopping. (Tesco Express was maybe a 12-minute walk away.)
We enjoyed dinner with all the English pub staples and several dishes with a heavy South African influence at The Chapter House just down the street. Highly recommend!
Klare Empfehlung!
Perfect for an event we were attending over weekend.
We were attending a family event and this was perfect as it was within walking distance. Clean, comfortable and nice to be in, just what we needed for the weekend.

Tired
The house itself is lovely.
The bedroom next to the toilet wasn’t the best, very loud traffic noise, couldn’t open the windows because of that and it was hot.
Bed wasn’t the most comfortable, metal frame and noisy. The flooring wasn’t covered with anything gaps in the floorboards and so not kind to bare feet. The door needs to be addressed, when you open it the whole door drops, when you close it the door doesn’t fit to close without a good push. Then if you need to visit the loo in the night you wake the whole house with the doors.
The toilet door needs to be addressed, very noisy and won’t lock. Need to let customers know just how steep the stairs to the top bedroom are. Very steep and my husband is tall and banged his head more than once.
In the kitchen one of the chairs (end near piano) needs addressing, the arm is very wobbly. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use.
Our family had a wonderful stay in Salisbury. The town home was very clean and nicely furnished. The location is perfect for visiting the cathedral and is close to the town center. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The property was so convenient for a visit to Salisbury. Just across the road from an entrance to the Cathedral Close and a short walk from the centre of the town. The house had all the equipment we needed and the beds were comfortable. When we had a problem with a power cut Alex was easily contactable and found out about the issue for us. We will probably visit again .

Really easy walk ( we were using a wheelchair) into the heart of Salisbury and the beautiful cathedral.
House was lovely and clean with everything we needed,
Although we were fine, worth mentioning the stairs to the 3rd bedroom were a bit steep and parking is limited.
Good communication with Alex,lovely stay.
Eliza and I are a young couple, living and working in London. Country folk at heart, we purchased our home in Salisbury to enjoy the beautiful city and countryside, and spend time with family.
What makes this property unique
The location of this house is simply stunning, being situated opposite the Salisbury Cathedral and overlooking the Close. Only a few minutes walk into town, we're lucky to have such a beautiful house in this location.
