Friends and I stayed for two nights and it was perfect. Sat out in the garden in the afternoons, easy walk to the historic district, and all the kitchen gadgets we needed. The weather was perfect so we didn't touch the ac or heater. Rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Charming simple wine country retreat very comfortable and quiet. Lots of yard space for quiet reflection and peace. The hot tub was large and super convenient. Ate out mostly, a quick walk to town, and beds were super comfortable.
A perfect "make a memory" getaway place. The farmhouse was cozy, well-stocked, and an easy walk to old town Jackson, where specialty shopping and history lessons abound! We appreciated the owner's detailed instructions for accessing the place because it is, indeed, an old neighborhood with tight parking. We also appreciated having a garage to park in. If a person has balance or mobility issues, the various steps, stairs, uneven brick pavers, etc., this is not the best place. That said, the beds were very comfy, the water pressure for baths and showers was awesome, and the little notes explaining the home's historical pieces and stories of the farmhouse's past were a delight. The exterior grounds are well maintained and lovely as well!

This is a lovely old fashioned home. The beds are terrific. Be sure to bring along soap and toilet paper. These amenities are overlooked.

I'm very sorry if the house was out of soap and toilet paper. We do normally provide these items for our guests. It is part of the housekeepers job to keep the house stocked with supplies. I have spoken to her about this review and it should not happen again.
This house was amazing it was like staying at a mini museum. Its an old victorian home filled with antiques. It was great because there was centual a/c so we really got to enjoy the home since it was so hot outside. It was everything we expected based on all the details provided. We would definitely stay here again.
Extraordinary stewardship of history in this historic home, but also a gorgeous yard and thoughtful attention to detail. We played Pictionary, loved the hot tub and garden, and were grateful for the information all around the home
Came to town to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday. Walked on Main Street, enjoyed the yard, played games, cooked dinner and breakfasts, barbecued, toured wineries and the town of Sutter Creek, and sat in the hot tub under the moo and stars! It was a perfect weekend!

This house is a gem. It is large, very clean and a museum!! Most of the house has furnishings and fixtures from over 100 years ago. It is fantastic. I spent so much time reading the little descriptions of items in the house. The stove, the shelves, windows, chairs, paintings, etc. I enjoyed every moment. The yard around the house is very charming and lovely. You have everything you need there from laundry, kitchen, bathrooms, bbq, very clean garage, hot tub, etc. I was very lucky to have found this place. Well done by the host/ owner.
This is a magical little sanctuary.
The house and gardens are all historic and perfectly kept. The wrap around veranda takes you back to imagining life when the town was built.
My favourite thing of all was the old magnificent antique cooking range! It was a joy to cook on and really was a thing of beauty!!!
We look forward to coming back soon…
Quaint antique house in heart of Jackson & Wine Country
The house was very comfortable with many amenities. There was a room full of books and games, kitchen stocked with cookware, appliances, spices, and more, outdoor barbecue grill. The outdoor garden was nicely landscaped and beautifully designed. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to soak in the hot tub. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back

The property was very clean and kept up, The home was the same, everything worked, supplied prefect.
No Problems, All was Great, the home was in excellent repair for the exception of a nail sticking out of the bottom of the banister going up the steps. From the pots and pans to dishes, glasses, laundry soap and towels plus more, our family felt very much at home.
Thank You

Thank you for letting us know about the banister. It has been repaired and is now completely safe and secure. We're happy to know you enjoyed the house and yourselves!
What an absolute joy to stay in this house. I grew up in the Midwest and a farmhouse... This place was reminiscent of that for me. The antiquities were amazing, thank you for posting the stories about them. I loved the grounds. So gorgeous, and I will be coming back to stay when everything's in bloom ❤️. I hope we left everything as you would like it to be. And I will be returning. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us.
Very comfortable old home decorated very nicely with interesting facts included near art. Great yard for our dogs, quite location, peaceful setting. Decently appointed kitchen, and baths. I do take slight issue with being asked to wash a load of towels, run and unload dishwasher etc. We paid 150 cleaning fee+ additional fee for the dogs. I assumed that was to pay a housekeeper to service the home. I hardly made a mark having used one of the three bedrooms, and being tidy by nature. It just seems a bit much to require so many fees and expect guests to clean and launder before leaving at 11am. The cleaning and fees for the dogs was nearly as much as the per night fee. Would love to make this a regular place as I have family in Jackson and the hotels are limited but, just can't see spending so much on fees and having to clean etc. At any hotel no matter how few stars, they don't expect you to do your own laundry.

I'm glad Heather enjoyed the house, had a comfortable stay. We appreciate the 5 star review! It is a large house for two people and I understand that by not sharing it with friends or family the cleaning fee could feel like a lot. We do pay a flat fee to our housekeepers so our cost is the same regardless of how conscientious our guests are or how heavily the home is used. We did offer Heather a reduced pet fee for her stay when she initially inquired as a courtesy. We do ask our guests to do a load of towels voluntarily, only if they have time and are inclined to do so. We often have six guests at a time and with hot tub use, we can end up with multiple loads of towels which take a long time to dry. Helping with the wash Is not required, we simply ask that you wash one load of towels and start them in the dryer to help our housekeeper if you have time. Loading and starting the dishwasher is the only cleaning that we ask guests to do. I believe that it is an industry standard to do so.
Follow the instructions that the rental company gives you to get to parking!! The building that you park in front of is the garage and not the house. We were in complete panic mode arriving in the dark to the property and using the code only to realize that the gorgeous house was just steps away. Our hostess checked via text and all is well, thank you Belinda!
Stunning 3 bedroom Victorian Farmhouse, fenced in yard is great for kids or fur babies. Close to downtown!
Loved this old house and its grounds. Great location. All of the amenities that we want nearby. You have to be able to navigate the stairs but very worth the effort. We will definitely go back in the future. Thanks for having us.
The house is a very cute Victorian house with all the amenities you need. It was plenty of room for 6 adults. Loved having a BBQ grill and hot tub. People will love to stay here.
