Our condo was was clean amazing views

Our stay at Honua Kai was amazing. Our condo was was clean and spacious and the lanai with its amazing views was perfect. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. There were even boogie boards, beach chairs and a cooler for us to use. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

Maui vacation

Our vacation to Maui and Honua Kai was great. We booked through KBM and everything was super smooth. There was good communication after I booked with instructions on what I needed to do to get my rental car (which was included) and what to do at check in and how the check in process would work. KBM gave very clear instructions on where to go at the resort to check in. They called and let me know that our room was ready early so we could check in earlier than expected. That was really nice. When we did get to our room, the king bed in the second bedroom was not separated into two twins like I had requested, but when I called KBM to let them know, the lady that answered was very nice and said someone would be right there to fix that and they were! I would book through KBM again in a heartbeat. They also give returning customers a discount when they book again.

Our room view was spectacular!

The Honua Kai resort is fabulous - beautiful grounds, great pools, and very easy access to a soft sand beach. Pool and beach rentals on property. There is a great food truck park with a great variety and grocery store within walking distance across the street. Dukes, the on-site beach front restaurant has good food- if you want to be sure to go in the evenings make a reservation before you arrive! Ka’anapali is a great little town with the resort close to Whalers Village shopping/restaurants. Our room view was spectacular! Fabulous view of the ocean beyond the pool with the Big Island in view. The sunsets are amazing! Although just like it of view of this unit, like a nightly ritual, resort patrons wander down to watch together with plenty of of places to watch unobstructed. The corner unit and wrap around lanai was a very nice feature to have to fit 5 adults comfortably. I would give this property a 4.5 stars out of five because, there were a few things we needed to communicate with the property management company on arrival, and so not 100% seamless, but all were minor details. The company was extremely responsive and did everything they could to make improvements quickly and professionally. We will be returning!

Prior to arrival we were told more than once that there will be beach toys for young guests. But there isn't any, we communicated it with the KBM property managers several times on this matter. One of them told us they will either find the toys from another property and bring them over or buy a new set for us. But nothing was done. We have a 6 year old who loves to make sandcastles on the beach. If we knew this property’s manager is unable to provide the beach toy for whatever reason, we would buy them ourselves at the nearby store. The cost is under 10. But the property managers kept us waiting to where we only have 2 days left. At this point it's not worth buying them ourself or kept reaching out to the property managers. I am very disappointed with how the property managers handling this small request.

You’re absolutely right to expect clear follow-through when a commitment is made. At KBM Resorts, we take pride in delivering on what we promise, and in this case, we fell short. I sincerely apologize that our team communicated that toys would be provided but did not ultimately deliver or update you in a timely manner. I can understand how that would be especially disappointing with a 6-year-old excited for beach time. That said, I also want to assure you that your experience is not reflective of our usual standards. Our team did intend to locate or purchase a set for you, but we clearly did not execute with the urgency and follow-through that we expect of ourselves. More importantly, we should have communicated transparently so you could make alternate plans earlier in your stay. Your feedback has been shared with our local management team so we can address this gap and ensure better accountability and responsiveness moving forward. Small details like this can make a big difference in a family vacation, and we take that seriously. We’re grateful you brought this to our attention, and we hope we’ll have the opportunity to provide you with a much smoother, fully seamless experience on a future stay.

On a beach in Hawaii

The property is great for families and a good location for accessing most of the beaches. The kids loved the pools and the ease of getting to the beach. Only slight issue was the lack of a reception to deal with general issues/enquiries.

Amazing family trip!

We had a wonderful time at Honua Kai, 513. The views were amazing and the place was mostly as advertised. Pros: 2 pack n plays (we only needed 1) and drawer of toddler plates and cups, and a huge closet of boogie boards and beach chairs. Cons: the place is just a little worn, though not surprising given all the foot traffic, we had to call the manager a few times for plumbing issues but they fixed it within a few hours. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. Definitely recommend a cost co run from the airport though. Groceries are expensive. The kitchen has everything you need to cook with, but no basic pantry items (oil, salt, etc).

9 Day Trip in Maui

We stayed here for 9 days. There was 5 of us. 2 couples took up bedrooms and 1 single slept on pull out couch. Condo had everything we needed. Excellent view from lanai. Rooms were nice and cool. King size beds were comfortable. The staff at the resort couldn’t be any kinder. If we had any complaints/recommendations it would be: living room furniture was a bit uncomfortable (especially pull out couch), both bathrooms lighting was a little too dim, and the dryer doesn’t dry very fast nor can it dry a lot at once. We worked around these things and it was all good. This was our second time staying at this resort and we would definitely come back again.

We loved our stay at Honua Kai! The view from our unit was breathtaking and the size of the unit was perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids. There is no beach umbrella for this unit and there are only 2 beach chairs, so plan accordingly! We can't wait to visit again!

A perfect stay

This condo was absolutely perfect for our family of 6. The complex is beautiful and very well maintained, with a great pool area and loads of amenities. The unit itself is very nice and very modern. The beds were all comfortable, the kitchen area wonderful and fully stocked for cooking at home and saving some money on eating out. The wraparound balcony was amazing and the clever doors that open up the entire wall really made the unit feel larger than it actually is. Even though it's a large building with many units it's still very quiet - we never heard any noise at all from anywhere. The KBM staff communicated exceptionally well and were very nice, check in and check out was very easy. Very highly recommended - book this room and you won't be sorry!

Lovely week in paradise

This suite had no reviews at the time we booked and we took a risk booking this. KBM was very professional with very good communication before and during the trip. The suite itself has two rooms well separated from each other and one full and one half bathroom. The wrap around lanai was perfect for our family. Clean unit and you could not hear a thing at night. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Awesome!

Everything was so beautiful! And the view was amazing. This unit was very large, only problem I encountered was a broken light fixture in the room, everything else was perfect! Will be booking here again. Specifically this room hopefully in the near future. (As long as they fix that unsafe light.)
