The main living area is open plan, and is bright and airy, with French doors opening onto a very private fully-fenced garden. There is a high quality cream leather sofa and a large solid wood dining table for up to four guests. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, with integral units and an impressive 6-ring gas range with double oven and grill. There is a large double bedroom on the ground floor, beautifully presented with colour co-ordinated soft furnishings. Adjoining this is a family sized bathroom. Stairs from the living area lead up to a second bedroom, with 3ft twin beds. The beds can be pushed together if required and a mattress topper is provided to convert to a super kingsize bed if required. There is a second shower room on this floor, making the cottage ideal for two couples or small families. Outside there is a pretty garden with lawn, flower tubs and a large outdoor dining table and chairs on the decking area; a lovely spot to sit and unwind after a day’s sightseeing. There is also lockable garaging, with light and power by arrangement, for touring motor bikes.
Boundary House West lies adjacent to the owner’s home and is ideally located for exploring Inverness and further afield. There are wonderful walks direct from the property. A footpath just a few yards away leads down to the side of the famous River Ness, and the river tumbling over the weir can be heard from the cottage. Here one can walk right through to the Ness Islands and into the centre of the city. It also leads on to the Caledonian Canal. There are plenty of facilities within close proximity, including an interesting woollen mill with restaurant and numerous other restaurants within a few minutes’ walk. This is an ideal base for walking, cycling, golfing, fishing and generally touring the Highlands. Aviemore, for skiing and snowboarding, is within easy reach. There are many places of interest in the immediate area, such as Culloden Battlefield, Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness, Fort George and, of course, the famous bottle-nosed dolphins of the Moray Firth. An open-top tour bus also stops at the end of the lane during the summer season. This also makes an excellent starting or finishing venue for the renowned North Coast 500 Route that takes in some of the most dramatic scenery to be found anywhere in the British Isles. Beach 15 miles. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.

Inverness Retreat
This lovely apartment was perfect as a base for exploring the Scottish Highlands. The lovely hosts were so friendly and helpful we felt like we were visiting family. The house was immaculate, well equipped and stocked with all necessities. The location was in a quiet neighborhood, but just a short drive to town. We had a great time staying here.

Fabulous apartment in residential part of Inverness
This apartment, which is attached to the side of the owner's home, is one of the most thoroughly cared for, bright, clean and equipped VRBOs I have ever stayed in. The owner's obviously have spent much time providing all the necessities for a home away from home. They also left some basic food items for us at check-in. My teens loved their own place on the second level, as well as their own bathroom. And we enjoyed our parental privacy downstairs. There was plenty of room inside and out. Unfortunately, the rain prevented us from enjoying the backyard much. We played a couple of the games provided in the evening after touring around Inverness. The apartment is a quick drive to the local Tesco grocery and petrol station. We would stay here again without hesitation and encourage anyone else interested to give it a try.
