Tranquility! Waking up to the mist over Loch Ness and then viewing the stars after sunset.
This is a wonderful property. I wouldn't hesitate to rent it again and again- but for a longer stay. Yard for kids to play or adults to relax. You can't beat the conservatory (sun room). We spent all our relaxing time there. Bring binoculars if you are a fan of birds and other creatures.
We went to Mor Carraig the last week in August and it was such a brilliant holiday. We were a family of 4 adults, 2 teens and 3 small dogs and the house was a perfect size to fit all of us. The dogs loved the garden it was huge! The view from the conservatory is outstanding, we played cards on a night time and watched the sun rise in the morning. The house had everything you'd need, the owners had thought of everything. It was a great location for sight seeing, we went to the Isle of Skye and to John O'Groats. A drive round the lake is recommended as it is beautiful from every angle.
A little tip for those travelling with our 4 legged friends, ticks are everywhere. Not all flea treatments cover ticks as we unfortunately found out so daily inspections are a must! Take tweezers!
I'd highly recommend this house for a holiday, it is absolutely fantastic. A perfect home away from home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very welcoming with a home from home feel. The views are breathtaking and the location is ideal for exploring the highlands. Highly recommend this lovely property
The cottage is very comfortable and has everything a family needs. The views of Loch Ness are amazing. It is easy to get to Inverness and other locations. There is no A/C but it’s not needed with the location and elevation. The bedrooms are a good size, well decorated and overall very comfortable after a long day of sightseeing. The separate dryer from the washing machine was a bonus making laundry a snap. Overall wonderful experience.
My fiancé and I visited Inverness for four days and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Mor Carriag was the perfect accommodation for us; we cannot say enough about the stunning views of Loch Ness and the peaceful surroundings. The owner was prompt and professional in his communication, and has provided a book at the property containing information about the facilities and nearby attractions. While there were just two of us, this property is lovely for couples and also ideal for families as there are three bedrooms. We enjoyed watching sunsets in the conservatory, and making full use of the spacious kitchen to cook meals. The window bench upstairs is a thoughtful touch, and makes for a cozy reading area. Sitting by the fire in the evenings with a dram was blissful. Thank you Paul for providing such a slice of heaven for travellers.

The highlands have so much to offer all ages and Abriachan is the perfect location to enjoy the various activities. The Great Glen Way and Abriachan Forrest Trails are in the immediate vicinity providing great walking, running and mountain biking. Loch Laide and Loch an Cullin are close by and together with the River Ness opportunities for salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing are boundless. Scotland is the home of Golf and players of all standards and budgets will be treated to some of the best championship golf courses in the country, enjoying some of the most remote and scenically beautiful courses to be found anywhere; all within a 30 min drive of Mor Carraig. Families with children should take advantage of the many activities and attractions available in Inverness, including: swimming, bowling, leisure centres, cinemas, theatres, sightseeing and Dolphin watching on the Moray Firth. Drumnadrochit has the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre and Urquhart Castle as well as horse riding. And most importantly, a boat trip down Loch Ness where you may just get a glimpse of the elusive Loch Ness Monster, known to her friends as 'Nessie'. Day trips to enjoy - Aviemore, Fort Augusta, Fort William, Applecross, Dornoch, Nairn Beach and the Isle of Skye.
