Chalet in Mühlbach near Hochkönig Ski

This beautiful, modern chalet for a maximum of 8 people is located in the lively town of Mühlbach am Hochkönig in Salzburgerland, which together with the villages of Dienten and Maria Alm forms the Hochkönig mountain kingdom.

It has a very large living room with an open, fully equipped kitchen, a total of 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. From the living room and kitchen there is access to a sunny balcony. All bedrooms are beautifully furnished in the style of the house. In the basement you will also find a ski room with ski boot dryer for communal use. The chalet also has its own sauna. There is parking directly at the house.

In summer as well as in winter, Mühlbach am Hochkönig, part of the Unesco Geopark "Ore of the Alps", is an ideal starting point for your vacation! There are many opportunities for mountain bikers, golfers, hikers, glacier skiers, paragliders and those seeking peace and quiet in the immediate vicinity. In winter, you can reach the slopes of the Hochkönig ski area in just a few minutes by car, a ski area with guaranteed snow and more than 120 km of slopes as well as numerous picturesque mountain huts. The family and small ski areas of Hinterreit and Hochkeil also offer a special charm.

In summer, the outdoor pools in Mühlbach and Maria Alm, the Zeller See in Zell am See or the Goldegger See offer plenty of bathing fun!
There are enough shops for daily needs and a good selection of restaurants right in the town, and you can reach the state capital of Salzburg in around 1 hour by car.

Note: From March 2026, the second bedroom will have a double bed instead of bunk beds..

Check in process was difficult. I tried to get info on VRBO app to no avail. Whats app is where i was being messaged. No salt, pepper, hand soap. Unit was very nice, but host could be clearer up front on check in and check out protocol.

Unit is very nice with great views. We were surprised when there was no salt, pepper, hand soap, or paper towels. had to purchase all and leave in unit. There was also no iron. The host was not easy to reach before showing up by using app. Found out that she was on Whatsapp. Would have liked to have known that before we were standing at the front door.

Schöne Unterkunft in einem schönen Wandergebiet

Ein schöner Ort im Sommer Urlaub zu machen, sofern man gerne und viel wandern möchte. Der Ort Mühlbach selber hat leider nichts zu bieten. Schade ist, dass der Vermieter nicht integriert ist im Hochkönig-Verbund. Somit bekommt man als Gast nicht die Hochkönigkarte mit der man viele Seilbahnen in der Umgebung am Hochkönig kostenfrei nutzen kann.

Ruim en comfortabel, dit chalet voldeed perfect aan onze behoeften. De bedden waren comfortabel en de aanwezigheid van meerdere badkamers was een groot pluspunt voor onze groep. De skiruimte was handig om onze spullen op te bergen. Hoewel het weer tijdens ons verblijf beter had kunnen zijn, was het chalet zelf een heerlijke plek om te ontspannen.

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in Österreich. Das Ferienhaus ist modern, sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, aber man merkt, dass hier keinen Wert auf Dekoration oder weitere Gemütlichkeit gelegt wurde, alle Deko-Artikel sind quasi von IKEA und wild zusammen gewürfelt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind für 8 Personen ausgelegt, es gibt drei Schlafzimmer und 1 Kinderzimmer mit Hochbett. Etwas dürftig fanden wir die Gastfreundlichkeit des Gastgebers, hier sind wir in anderen Belvilla Häusern in Österreich schon deutlich besser und herzlicher begrüßt worden. Auch ist das mit bestellte Bettwäsche und Handtuch Paket kaum ausreichend für Familien mit Kindern und Sauna. Auf Nachfrage gab es nur lapidar die Antwort der Eigentümer, dass man ja waschen könne. Die vor Ort zuständige Hausverwaltung war bemüht, konnte da aber auch nicht helfen. Zum Glück hatten wir ausreichend Handtücher dabei. Salz, Öl, Seife, Spülmittel oder Kaminanzünder sind ebenso nicht vorhanden, auch das haben wir schon besser erlebt. Mühlbach als Ort ist schön, zu empfehlen ist die Karbachalm, das kleine Freibad und die Wanderwege. Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge im Salzburger Land ist Mühlbach aber schlechter gelegen, da man immer erst weit fahren muss. Unsere Empfehlung: die Salzburger Land Card lohnt sich insbesondere wenn man einige Seilbahnen nutzen möchte. Alles in allem gibt es also Licht und Schatten.

Schöne Zeit am Hochkönig

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in traumhafter Lage. Haben eine tolle Urlaubswoche in dem Haus verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, lies es kaum Wünsche offen. Kommen gerne wieder.
