There are several markets in Baan Huay Yang. a. Afternoon market on Wednesdays and big morning market on Saturdays. Here you can find everything from food and clothes to toys. Danzin Kohn is a market that takes place every Saturday morning right at the border with Burma (about 30 km). Here, lots of plants, clothes, furniture and much more are sold at very low prices.

The restaurants in Baan Huay Yang are simple but serve fantastic food. A lot of seafood is available on the menus but also Western dishes. Jacks Resort occasionally organizes dance / music evenings at the beach, with live bands, which are usually well attended.
