Another fabulous few days at Spindle Barn.
Another fabulous few days at Spindle Barn. The location feels remote and is perfect for restful breaks. Good local cafes and pubs. Great for walking holiday and on clear nights the stars are amazing.Lovely hosts who know how to be friendly but keep their distance too. Barn is a comfortable place to stay.
Jo and James made us very welcome and the barn was beautifully appointed. It's position in Northumberland gave us good access to the coast, Hadrian's Wall and the national parks in the area. We would happily return to this accommodation.

This cottage is stunning.
This cottage is stunning. Set in a working farm with everything in the cottage you could want and need. Recently renovated and furnished to really high standard. Clean and pristine. The owners are lovely and helpful and could not do enough suggesting walks and places to go. Nearest small shop is over 5 miles away so make sure to get provisions (if needed)

Had a wonderful stay and such a personal welcome.
Had a wonderful stay and such a personal welcome. Very thoughtful as spending Christmas on my own. The owners are a lovely family and very friendly and approachable. The cottage is immaculate and I slept well, very comfortable mattress. The kitchen was stylish and I enjoyed cooking meals. The power shower is glorious! The views around the area are stunning and the sheep are all around so a very authentic country experience, glad I took my wellies. I would definitely return to see the area in the summer. Already missing the place it's so cosy and relaxing. All in all...great!

My husband and I had the most amazing 2 nights here, total bliss. The barn has been rennovated to a very high standard, very homely and extremely comfortable with everything you need, including a lovely welcome hamper on arrival, thank you Joanne!
There are some great walks in the area with amazing views across Northumberland. The local village is only about a 25 minute walk and the local pub serves great food and ales.
If you are looking for somewhere that will completely take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then this is the place to go; we will definitely be back.

A beautifully converted barn, Ideal for getting away from it all. Its Ideally situated to visit Kielder, Alnwick & the coast. The local pub and micro brewery is worth a visit to sample the local produce. I would highly recommend the barn for a comfortable stay in peaceful surroundings.
