Artists’ Cottages, a family owned business in Harrogate own and run this luxury bijoux residence. It has a ground floor lifestyle room making it ideal for romantic couples , business travellers, walkers and those wishing to explore all Harrogate and the Dales has to offer. Free unrestricted on street parking, free unrestricted secure WiFi. Easy access to Leeds, South and North A1M, Quiet location on Southside of Harrogate, near to Hornbeam Park Station, Yorkshire Showground. and Pavilions. 20 minutes walk to HCC taking you through the Stray and past restaurants and shops or 5-10 minutes by 36 bus (frequent buses every 10 minutes) to the HCC. A very short 3 minutes walk from Hornbeam Park Train Station (local line between York and Leeds) and Hornbeam Park Estate, a large Marks and Spencer Foodhall , Local Co-Op, Sainsburys and local shops and Bus stop for 36 bus - much loved by guests. The property combines antiques with modern convenience and comfort. The soft pastel shades contrast with the bright soft furnishings and carefully selected pictures by local artists which adorn the walls. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob and fan oven, Delonghi small appliances, Krups Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother ( takes Nespresso Capsules) dining table and chairs for 2. Everything you need to cook and present delicious meals. The sitting area features a Laura Ashley Sofa, log burning inglenook fire - wonderful for those cooler evenings. We leave logs, kindling and lighters to get you started - you can request extra (for these there is a charge) There is a range of Folio edition books and games for guests to enjoy during their stay. Retro Vinyl record payer, Bluetooth enabled speakers. Upstairs there is a generous bedroom with en suite shower room. The king size bed can split to give singles upon request. Work station/dressing table. Large wardrobe, drawer units beside the bed. Free unrestricted fast WIFI. SMART TV, USB charging sockets.

Works of art available to purchase free of commission from artists. Guests remark on the attention to detail and stunning glass. Guests love our beds which we commission and remark on the intimacy, comfort and location. Sorry no pets! Unsuited to small children or those with mobility issues - steep stairs -stair gates cannot be attached.
Guests can request high chair and travel cot at no cost - you will however, require your own bedding.
Black out blinds throughout the property to ensure a good nights sleep.
For guests joining us for Christmas and New Year we decorate ready for your arrival!
We enjoy hosting so we personally meet and greet our guests whenever possible.

I loved this property and its location. It was the perfect size for me within easy walking distance of excellent grocery shops and the Yorkshire Showground. Communication was very friendly and helpful, especially I got caught in traffic. I have scored the cleanliness lower as the shower tray seal and flex were in need of a good scrub and limescale removal and the kitchen bin was dirty. Otherwise the facilities were clean and well presented.

We started this family business in 2017 with the intention of giving our guests a memorable experience by combining some of the best experiences we have enjoyed from our own travels. We love welcoming guests to Harrogate and sharing our love of North Yorkshire. Being born here, I have lived most of my life in Yorkshire and know the area well. So we make a point of ensuring our guests are personally met and welcomed.
We have three grown-up children, two of whom are married and have children, so we combine being grandparents with hosting.
We are a Harrogate family who love meeting our guests and sharing our love of this beautiful Spa Town. We are on hand to answer any questions or requests guests may have during their stay. Our main concern is our guests comfort and we aim to give our guests a truly Yorkshire welcome.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love the moment I saw this intimate cottage. It's light and bright and I thought it would make a great home from home for a couple or single traveller whether on business or holiday. The property is located 3 minutes walk from Hornbeam Station and Business Park and is a short walk from the Yorkshire Showground, there is a large M&S Foodhall across the road. There are plentiful eateries all around and along the route to the town centre.
Guests have stayed up to a month. The most frequent is a long weekend or week.

The inglenook fireplace and log burning stove is an original feature of this cottage. We added the glass feature, special lighting along with the balloon in the bedroom.
There is a local park on the doorstep and the Stray is a short walk and makes for a beautiful relaxing stroll into the town centre. There are country walks beginning from Hookstone Road just metres from the front door. If you are not keen on walking there is the 36 bus into town every 10 minutes almost from the front door. Guests love the fact they accept bus passes from different parts of the UK. The 36 Bus will take you to Ripon and stops at various interesting points along the way including Ripley Castle and Fountains Abbey. In the opposite direction heading towards Leeds, the bus will take you to Harewood Castle and the Estate.

We are a family business and we work with local people who share our enthusiasm and love of hospitality, from the cleaners, to our marketing, to those who meet and greet. We all know each other and are not just colleagues! The details matter!
We leave fresh milk in the fridge(organic if we can get it), fresh ground coffee, tea bags, coffee pods, biscuits on a tray all ready for your arrival.
Our 100% finest cotton linens and towels are all professionally laundered to the highest standards and are constantly renewed and upgraded.
Our beds are manufactured by a local company for us, to ensure you have a great night's sleep.
There is a large M&S Foodhall on your doorstep and local shops including fast food outlets. There are restaurants at Hornbeam Park and trains from there serving York and Leeds. All this makes it an ideal location for exploring the area.
