A beautiful modern two bed (both en-suite) cottage in rural Mid Devon - idyllic
This delightful, rural retreat enjoys beautiful views of the open countryside, and Dartmoor National Park whiich is only six miles away. It also lies close to a wonderful variety of attractions.
With stunning, elevated views over Dartmoor, East Hillerton Lodge is a delightful rural retreat. Occupying the east wing of the owners’ home, the property offers spacious, well-appointed holiday accommodation. Both bedrooms benefit from en-suite shower rooms and the double bedroom has a balcony. There is also a patio and large, enclosed garde. This is an ideal destination for those wanting to get away from it all. Due to the owners’ keen interest in horses, there is stabling available for those who may want to bring their horse. The nearby village of Spreyton has a local shop, as well as a renowned pub. There are some delightful local walks directly from the property into the unspoilt countryside. The larger town of Crediton is just over 8 miles away and has a good range of shops and other amenities.
East Hillerton Lodge is ideally located for visiting all the delights Devon has to offer. Exeter is easily reached and has a wide variety of shops, restaurants and of course its historic cathedral. Both the north and south coasts can be visited and offer very different characteristics. Dartmoor is only 6 miles away and Exmoor National Park is also easily accessible, and both provide walking for all abilities and some stunning scenery. There are a number of National Trust properties in the area, most notably Castle Drogo and Arlington Court. The wonderful RHS gardens at Rosemoor are certainly worth a visit, as is the Dartington Crystal Factory, which are both based at Great Torrington. Golf, fishing and riding are all available in the local area, and cycle hire can be arranged on the Tarka Trail at various locations. Shop and pub 2½ miles.

The cottage forms the east wing of the Kerry & Nicola's house. We moved here in 2013 from Jersey and absolutely love the country life.
