Our beautiful, large (12m x 5.5m), heated swimming pool is open from May to September and enveloped by a spacious terrace; it is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful ambience of Les Petites Cigognes. This area is easily accessed from the rear of the gite and offers you an enclosed landscaped area for piece of mind for parents and children. The generous terracing allows plenty of individual space where you will enjoy uninterrupted views and sunshine from the sun-loungers. The pool and children's play area are contained within two acres of open garden, offering all of your family plenty of space for ball games and other activities.

After successful careers in the UK we completed the purchase of Les Petites Cigognes in February 2006 and by Christmas all 3 gites and the swimming pool were completed.
Les Petites Cigognes became our home and we have welcomed guests from around the world ever since. We feel privileged to meet the wide range of people who stay with us.

Why they chose this property

Having toured much of France with our children the decision on where to live became quite straightforward. Les Petites Cigognes is centrally located for most attractions of the Loire region; 45 minutes is the maximum time you would spend travelling to many locations. The small towns of Ligueil and Descartes are both less than 10 minutes drive and Loches is only 15 minutes. All provide excellent markets, cultural activities, interesting gardens and parks as well as shopping.

Our gites are located around a courtyard which provides ample parking as well as an area for relaxing in the morning sunshine, shade if the afternoon sun becomes too hot and a boules court. The rear of the gites face west, giving uninterrupted access to the afternoon sunshine, the large heated pool, superb sunsets and large open skies for evening star-gazing.

What makes this property unique

The Loire Valley is renowned for so much, including its beauty, history, chateaux and wine. The Loire Valley is within a days journey from the UK, has excellent communication links with the UK and the rest of Europe via the auto-routes as well as airports at Tours, Poitiers, La Rochelle, Limoges and Nantes. Combine all this with an excellent climate for ourselves and visitors and we are sure that as one of our guests you will find the same attraction to the area.
