Conveniently located near the only fishing pier in Atlantic Beach! 2 Bedroom, 1 bath right on the beach! 1 bedroom has 1 queen bed. 2nd bedroom has 2 queen beds. Sleeps 6. Great family get away. Beautiful views of beach and pier. 2 doors down from Island Grill. Outside shower. Walk right onto the sand. Pine Wood rustic walls. Porch with rockers. Quaint. Rustic. Comes with TV, Cable, wireless internet. Stunning views of the sand dunes from the living area and deck. Private walkway to beach. No smoking. Sheets and towels are provided. Sunday to Sunday rentals June through August.

Adorable old school North Carolina beach cottage. Very well appointed for kitchen and linens. The view from the deck was beautiful Beach was great!

Just what we were looking for in a beach place.

Simple beach accomodations. The view cannot be beat and it's very centrally located. Kathy was easy to work with and they allowed my dogs. I plan to return.

Great beach get away

House is right on the beach! Great porch to enjoy morning coffee and listen to the waves. Kathy was an amazing host and she even helped us with car trouble! Highly recommended this beach gem.

Where else can you find a 1953 original beach house with an amazing oceanfront view - with 2 bedrooms and allowed to bring my dog??? Very clean - not fancy - well equipped! Kathy Cox was very easy to work with - ! We enjoyed our second visit to Gone Fishing!

Rainy Memorial weekend…but fun!

Kathy was a perfect host! Rainy weekend, but we enjoyed the large porch and ease to the beach when we could enjoy a couple minutes of sunshine. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Clean home. We will be back!

Updated Beach house

This cottage is a blast from the past! An old style beach house with a huge screened in porch with plenty of rocking chairs and the beach just a stones throw away. While this house may have some age, it has been tastefully updated with the latest appliances and comfortable HVAC system. Best of the old and the new!

Thank you so much Robert! I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. It is an old cottage. It used to house the ole coast guard years ago and had its roof taken off in hurricane Hazel if that tells you how old it is! When my parents bought it nearly 50 years ago it didn’t have air conditioning. Unfortunately we do not have a screened in porch but the porch is awesome and the view is breathtaking. The best part of the house is the view from the porch! Thank you for choosing our little cottage!

Charming beach cottage

We had a WONDERFUL time staying at Gone Fishing. The house was nice. We loved the deck. Great location to things. Quiet street. The pictures do not do the house justice. The kitchen has been updated since the pictures were taken. We had a couple questions while we were there and Kathy was very quick to respond every time. We could not have asked for a better week! College Send off

We needed a getaway and a nice quiet place on the ocean for new memories before the oldest headed to college. we booked 5 days. Kathy was nice and accommodating. Made sure we didn't need anything. We enjoyed our mornings and night on the deck listening to the waves. The place itself is very roomy, lots of living space, storage and closets. Close to many restaurants and shopping. which gave us a wide variety of options where everyone can agree on. We will keep this on our list for future vacations.

I absolutely loved this place. Clean and cozy, The view of the ocean was amazing , If we weren’t on the beach or pier we were on the porch. Which by the way, the pier has a bar at the very end of it. Perfect!!!!!! Pier is walking distance from the place . Kathy host was very helpful and understanding. She worked with us and great communication. Recommending this place to all my doggie families. Also, the grill was an amazing place to eat. First time at Atlantic Beach and not my last. Thank you Kathy! ( if you can’t stay the whole week, you can send a message through VRBO)

House is close to the pier and the beach is in the backyard perfect for fishing. We enjoyed our stay and didn’t have any issues.
