Turtles & Tanlines boasts a beautifully designed interior with custom furnishings, granite kitchen counter tops and tiled bathrooms. A private pool, hot tub and nearby access to The Currituck Club fitness center, the main community pool, and shopping and restaurants make it an ideal location for a summer vacation. [Note: No dogs or other animals are allowed in this home.]

TOP LEVEL:
Beginning on the top level, the sundeck faces east with a large deck area for relaxation and enjoying the ocean breeze. The back deck overlooks the pool patio below and the 1st fairway of the golf course at The Currituck Club, a gated resort community in Corolla. The Great Room has hardwood floors that span the living area with flat-screen TV, dining area (seats 8) and a kitchen bar counter (seats 3). The kitchen is well-equipped with stainless steel appliances, glass-top range and counter space to make family meals together. A King Master Suite is located on this level; it has a soaking tub and separate shower. A half bath is next to the kitchen area.

MID LEVEL:
Down to the mid level, there is a Queen Master Suite and a King Jr. Master Suite has a semi-private bath which is shared with the Pyramid Bunk bedroom. All the bedrooms have flat-screen TVs. For the outdoors, a spacious patio surrounds the private pool (7' x 18') and a separate hot tub is available for the adults to enjoy.

GROUND LEVEL:
From inside the house, there is access to the one-car garage. There is parking for 3 mid-size vehicles or 2 large vehicles.

EXTRAS:
As guests with The Currituck Club, a premier-gated community and resort, your family can use its various amenities including free trolley service to the beach access, beach valet service, a Clubhouse with on-site dining, large community pool with kiddie pool at the main entrance, a Fitness Center, and courts for tennis, basketball, volleyball and pickleball. There are planned kids' activities offered during the summer and paths for walking and bike riding. Golfers in the family can make reservations to play the 18-hole course, landscaped throughout the resort, with sound and ocean views.

Great house!

We were very happy with the cleanliness and location of the house! The amenities were great! The trolley to the beach was actually relaxing! The pool and hot tub were fun and the proximity to the grocery store and Starbucks was a nice bonus!

Great location to golf clubhouse

This rental is walking distance to the clubhouse and driving range. I recommend getting the beach setup service and private trolly.

Perfect!

My kids and I had the perfect week!! The location was great and the amenities could not be any better! The location to everything was very convenient! The house was a perfect size for us and the pool and hot tub were utilized daily!!

Wonderful property!

Very nice home that is a newer built, the location is great and is very convenient to the area. The beds were decently comfortable and the house was super clean. The pool was not large but was perfect for our family. My only complaint would be that they would supply garbage bags. Every place I’ve ever stayed supplied garbage bags. Other than that we had a great experience.

Perfect!

We were so excited to FINALLY book Turtles and Tanlines, it has topped our list for a couple of years but we always missed booking it. It was worth the wait and it did not disappoint. The home is beautiful, new, well-maintained, in a fabulous location, and stocked with everything you need. Even the beds are comfy and that is a rarity in vacation rentals. We loved the turtle decor. I cannot recommend it enough! This is now our favorite home in the OBX and we will most definitely return.

Great Location

Our family of seven spent a week at Turtles and Tanlines this August 2024. The location was absolutely perfect. Having access to the Currituck Community facilities was perfect for our two young girls. Harris Teeter just walking distance from the rental home was very helpful. We loved the private pool. Our only complaint, the property was not very clean. They need to stay on top of their cleaners. Trash left under one of the beds from the previous renters and the front deck furniture was so dirty with caked on dead bugs, that we couldn’t sit on the deck. A good power wash would help!

Saw turtles and got tan lines!

This house is super nice, neat and clean, still smelled like a brand new house. The location is so convenient, you can walk to an ice cream store, souvenir store, Harris Teeter, Duck Donuts. The golf course view is lovely and the Currituck Club is a very nice place with resort amenities. We enjoyed cycling through the community, it’s a nice place to ride. We saw turtles a few times during our bike rides. The beach is just across highway 12, walk or ride the free shuttle. The home was well equipped and the furniture was comfortable. The house was also more roomier than expected!

Great house and community but long walk to the beach

The house was really great! It is located 2 minute walk from the community pool/basketball courts/pickleball/ shuffleball/sand volleyball, souvenir shop and ice cream, 3-4 minute walk to Harris Teeter grocery store, then just a bit farther to Smoothies, Duck Donuts, tap house and more. You can't beat the location. The pool was small but nice. Hot tub was great. The only thing we were disappointed in was the shuttle to the beach. Where the shuttle drops you off is a good 300 yard walk to the beach and then there are so many people on the beach that you need to walk a bit to the left or right to have some space. There is a beach valet but dang, it's a long walk to a bathroom from the beach. We tried walking across the street to go to the beach and it is a private beach. We ended up driving to a beach access near the lighthouse instead of taking the shuttle. The one thing we would recommend is a bigger trash can for the kitchen and some more spatulas. The trash can for 9 people was very small and inadequate. If we go again we will either rent bikes or a golf cart for the week for added fun. Overall, great house and kids had a blast with the community activities. We participated in the pickle ball tournament and the Monday "hike" which was more of a walk but still very pretty views of the water and wildlife.

Well carpets need a good cleaning, and hubby had to put dirty gas grill together. Had to call office upon arrival for second key , was omitted from welcome pack. Beforehand paying balance the customer service person was very unhelpful borderline rude but acct lady was nice. All in all we’d come back to cc but different house probably

No surprises!

Property was clean and comfortable. The pool was just the right size for my 5 & 8 year old grandsons - and for the rest of us too! The house was spacious enough for 4 adults and 2 children. The beds were comfortable as was the living room furniture.

The house was amazing. The pool was small for adults but just right for our grandkids ages 3-14. We ran into rain a couple of days but made do playing games, puzzles, watching movies and just making the most of it. The only thing I would recommend is more restaurants in the area to choose from. We had to make reservations three days before we could go to a raw bar and seafood restaurant. We didn’t know before hand.

Perfection

We were extremely pleased with the house and the location! I highly recommend this area and house. Everything was as shown in the listing. There were a total of 7 adults and 4 children and all were impressed with the whole package. The only downside would be the traffic getting to the house. It was bumper to bumper, stop and go.

Clean and comfortable in corolla

This house was just what we needed it to be, a great base camp for my siblings and I. The house was about a five minute walk from the supermarket, the little pool was perfect for our group and it had plenty of accessible guest parking. The house was a bit of a hike to the beach and public parking at the beach will fill up quickly so be prepared.

Great week with family!

This house was really lovely and the perfect size for 8 people. It feels almost brand new and everything was pretty much spotless. The pool although smaller was very clean and a great place to wind down in the afternoon/evening and for a new toddler swimmer to play and feel comfortable. The hot tub was great for the adults at night as well. Being able to access all of the amenities of the Currituck Club is great especially the trolley to the beach picking you up and dropping you off right at your driveway. The customer service was amazing and everyone was very friendly. The check in/check out process was straightforward and simple. Overall I'd stay here again-- we loved it!

Beautiful home. Fabulous location

Looking for a great location? Walk to Harris Teeter, Ice cream shop, wings, currituck pool and playground, Duck Donuts and pizza. We had a 1, 2 and 3 year old with our family and found the house to be in a convenient location. Pool was perfect (small but nice).

Nice new and clean

Seemed to be a very new house with decent appliances and features. It is located in a very nice neighborhood but too close to the clubhouse. Always something going on and golf carts flying back and forth. Plus the house is directly next to the practice area and tee 1 I presume so a lot of people are walking through. Not entirely bad just a lot more traffic than we expected. Pool is nice but it isn't full size.. I'd say a plunge pool. Again, nice but make sure expectations are correct. Lastly, wasnt an issue for us but the house isn't inside the gated area of the club. All in all would recommend.
