Birch Cottage provides guests with a comfortable stay which is home from home, with a perfectly located Holiday Cottage within the beautiful, Peak District National Park.

Unfortunately we are not satisfied with how Faruk left our cottages. Faruk had been smoking inside which has taken 3 days to clear the smell, there is a canopy outside so there is no reason what so ever to be smoking inside, except being disrespectful to our property. Faruk had used our butter tray as an ash tray! We had to clear six bin bags of rubbish out of the cottage, including tab ends that were left all over. The group had all the oil heaters and the radiators on full but then had all your windows open, which must of been to try and cover the smell of your cigarettes, they have also burnt the kitchen side which we will now need to repair. I did send Faruk a message before the group left to clear the rubbish up that was left around their cars, which they didn't and left us to clear up empty cans and cigarette packets. We have had these cottages over 20 years and unfortunately Faruk left them in one of the worst states we have seen. Our cottages are in the beautiful countryside and it is such a shame when we receive a group like this who has no respect or pride of where we live.
