About this property

Bran's Estate, the best centre location in the town of West Mersea

You are welcome to stay in our three bedroom house located in the heart of West Mersea within a few minutes walking distance to the main attractions, shops and the seaside. Our guests say we have an ideal location for all their needs - local Tesco, deli and Mersea newsagents provide a great variety of food and drink, with Chinese, Indian and traditional fish & chips within easy reach for those less keen to cook at home. The beach is 5 minutes away, with the local hard and boatyards ,a comfortable walk along the coast road where more restaurants and the Victory Pub can be found.

Bran's Estate comprises a cosy dining room and a generous kitchen on the ground floor, with a table for 6 people, along with a wood stove. The kitchen contains appliances necessary for self catering. The first floor has three large spacious bedrooms and a modern bathroom with power shower (no bath). Bran's Estate can comfortably accommodate 4+ people as our guests say (even so we have 6 sleeping places) and it's ideal for a family time away or group of friends who likes to explore new places. The property has a double garage for parking (1 car). Also, the town has parking nearby if you travel with two cars for a small fee.

Family christening weekend.

Highly recommended Vrbo accommodation. Well situated in centre of West Mersea, close to shops, restaurants, pubs and coast. Excellent host communication and lovely property with large bedrooms.

Great little getaway

The property was perfectly situated with local amenities withing walking distance - we didnt have to touch the car for the duration of our get away. The property itself was a great base with more than enough sleeping space for the 6 of us. The only downside that we noticed was the lack of a comfy sitting area after a long day of crabbing down on the jetty. The property did not advertise that it had a living room and did only mention a dining area, an over sight on our part, perhaps reducing the size of the table to a drop leaf table and moving the sofas from an upstairs bedroom to downstairs would remedy this? Just a suggestion to put the cherry on the cake. Thank you for allowing us to holiday in your home for a week. Mersea we will be seeing you again soon.

A nice flat near the ocean

We stayed here for two nights in order to take my daughter to Colchester zoo. We enjoyed the short walk to the seaside, plus some excellent seafood dining just 10 minutes walk away. Thanks!

The property was perfectly situated for us to visit our family and the beach. We left a set of keys behind and Mas and Tony got them back to us speedily for which we were very grateful
