Welcome to our dream home! The moment we saw this house it was a ‘coup de cœur’ and we fell in love with the beautiful stone building, surrounded by vines & beautiful, uninterrupted views of vineyards.

We have made this house into a family home & are delighted to be able to share it with you. It is full of period charm, surrounded by vineyards & fully equipped to cater for everything you would want on your holiday. A true home away from home, just minutes from St Émilion & family-friendly sandy lake beaches.

The highlight in the Summer months is the beautiful heated swimming pool, which operates using a salt water purification system so is kinder to sensitive skin. The pool has stunning views over the surrounding vineyards and is the perfect spot to cool off. There are several patios, meaning that you can find shade all day long for that quiet spot to relax and immerse yourself in your favourite book.

We are fully set up for families to make this an easy and relaxing holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a foodie would want to create meals from local market produce including a brand new induction hob, fan-assisted oven, microwave, kettle & espresso coffee maker as well as a dishwasher and washing machine to make life easier.

Beds are new, modern and comfortable. There is a travel cot, two high chairs and toys and games for children and adults.

The house is spacious and perfect to host one, two or three families or a group of friends. It is flexible to allow for any number of options. There is a lovely large farmhouse table to comfortably seat 10 people at which you can linger over delicious French delicacies and a glass of the local Saint Émilion wine.

There is a large table and umbrella for eating at outside and watching the sunset over the surrounding vineyards as well as sun loungers to recline in with one of the many good books in the house.

There is a Weber barbecue for grilling local meats and vegetables, which we enjoy doing whilst watching the sunset over the horizon.

In the Winter, why not snuggle up on the large comfortable sofa and watch a film on the flat screen tv? Or relax by the fireplace with a good book, a jigsaw or playing one of the board games from the selection in the cupboard?

The bathrooms are large and modern and there is a bath as well as two showers.

For an extra fee we can arrange mid-week cleaning with our lovely housekeeper and are happy to arrange delivery of wine from our neighbouring vineyard for you to enjoy during your stay.

We can arrange tours of local vineyards, day trips, and offer advice on local attractions. St Émilion golf course is only 4km away.

It has always been our dream to own a house like this and to equip it with all of the luxuries that we would want from a holiday rental. We hope that you love it as much as we do.

Fabulous stay near St Emilion

The villa was perfect and Wllie made the whole process so easy. She gave us so much information about the villa and surrounding area and even arranged for a local chateaux to deliver some bottles of their wine. I would highly recommend this villa.

Amazing quiet getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Felt very remote, but only short drives to all of our destinations. Unexpected cold nights allowed for nice fires in the evening!

The highlight of our vacation!

Our family of six (including two young boys) spent a wonderful week at this property. The location is perfect - in the country but an easy drive to Saint Emilion. The house is just off a quiet road and looks out over fields and vineyards. The view is expansive but at the same time private as the nearest properties (two wineries) are quite distant. We spent hours in the front yard enjoying the view while the kids splashed in the pool. The interior is spacious and comfortable. There is easy shopping for groceries 5-10 minutes away. We had a few text exchanges with the owner, and she was always very responsive even though, at that moment, she was in Malaysia. We always felt we could get help or advice if we needed it. Highly recommended!

Authentiek huis met schitterend uitzicht

Met 5 fietsvrienden verbleven we in dit prachtig huis met zijn 5 kamers. Vanuit deze locatie kunnen schitterende fietstochten gereden worden. Na het fietsen, werd de buitenbeleving erg gesmaakt vanwege het prachtige uitzicht. Alles is aanwezig om te koken en te bbq-en, (grote) supermarkt op 5 minuten rijden.

Lieu magnifique et accueillant, propriétaire très gentille

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour de 5 jours en famille malgré le stress des préparatifs du mariage qui avait lieu dans la région. La maison, havre de paix, est charmante. Le coin piscine avec sa magnifique vue et terrasse donnant a côté de la cuisine est très pratique, propice à la convivialité et nous laisse de beaux souvenirs. Les chambres sont spacieuses et agréable, on y dort très bien. La propriétaire Ellie a été d'une grande bienveillance et gentillesse, nous laissant des conseils et instructions claires. Tout est fonctionnel et propre pour passer un séjour familial ou entre amis dans les meilleures conditions. Un grand merci à Ellie pour ce merveilleux séjour dont nous nous rappellerons toute notre vie.

We are a family who loves to travel, see new places, meet new people and eat local food. Having lived and travelled all over the world we are very excited to finally have our own holiday home in France and look forward to guests staying there and getting to know this very special area of France.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Demeure Des Vignes the moment we saw it. With its beautiful thick stone walls and traditional construction we have furnished it to be a real family home and just love being there.

From May 2020 there will be a heated swimming pool installed and ready for you to enjoy.

What makes this property unique

The views are simply stunning and the sunsets just beautiful.
The house is in a great location for getting away from it all or to explore the local vineyards, lakes and beaches, Saint Emilion, beautiful Bordeaux and the Dordogne. It really does have it all.
