Wonderful introduction to NC and Maggie Valley

Loved the property. Gorgeous view of the mountains from the porch and living room. Cabin was immaculately clean. It’s a very short drive into town where there are plenty of local restaurants. It’s a short 10 mile drive from the cabin to see the elk in Cataloochee valley. This was our first trip to North Carolina and we’ve completely fallen in love with the Maggie Valley area. Can’t wait to return to this cabin again for a longer stay.

Absolutely LOVE 9/10

So clean!! So easy to get to!! Huge kitchen, rooms, and the comfiest beds. The grill worked great and it was exactly what we needed for our ski trip to Cataloochee. If we could change anything, it would be the tv cuts in and out and the remote does not work well. We are big movie watchers at night so it was a little bit of a bummer. Besides the tv, this place is a total 10/10 and we cannot wait to come back!

Private Cabin

Private cabin...easy to get to, not too steep. Both bedrooms have king size beds and the third bedroom has a futon. Nice big porch and swing. Just wished it had a hotter...perfect spot where the picnic table is. :) Also we wished that it had a self serve check in and not have to go to an office to pick up the keys. Lock box with code and key would be nice. Cabin could use a little updating. Sofa recliner and chair are very squeaky and loud. Overall though a nice private place.

Bones in the Sky

I haven’t enjoyed enough of the property yet! I regret that I only booked two days. Should have booked for a longer period, say a week or so! The morning sun was fantastic. Everything inside the cabin is lovely and beautiful! I highly recommend this place if you are considering a trip to the Great Smokies!

Overall good!

The cabin was beautiful, just like what you see in the pictures. Communication prior to our dates and during were fast and I appreciate that. I would recommend to add all the information on Vrbo for future guest to know what to expect before picking up their check in package for check in and check out rules. Overall we had a great time.

Amazing view beautiful home

The view was gorgeous! The interior was cozy and beautiful. We felt at home. Only issue we had was the very steep driveway. Some seeting around the fire pit would have been nice but we made due with what we had :) Will stay again for sure, just with a 4 wheel drive vehicle!

We were grateful to have such a well maintained, clean cabin for our week long stay. We are hikers and golfers and had easy access to both. Loved seeing the elk!

Overall Nice place

Pros- What you see in the pics is what you get-no false advertising Nicely sized home, bedrooms, bathrooms, and clean layout. Outdoor patio offers some nice mountain viewing. Overall had a very nice time and enjoyed the place with the family. 3rd bedroom playroom was nice for the kids Secluded area on mountain with only a few neighbors around. Nice Hot water It would get 5 stars as advertised if it weren't for the misc items which need to be addressed/ updated-see below; Cons- Main TV is cracked-needs to be replaced, bigger TV would be nice. Bed mattresses should be updated Upgrade the tailgaiting/ camping BBQ with a real sized one Place some seating for the exterior fire pit Couches are nice but aged, nail pins on the corners got us a few times-needs to be looked at

Great house!

Great house! The only downside was having to haul off our own trash, on a holiday.

Cute cabin, but cleanliness left a lot to be desired! Wish there was a 2.5 star rating.

I like the idea of VRBO because I feel that renting directly from an owner means they are personally involved in making sure my experience is great. When I was asking questions about this property, the answers were coming from the VRBO email with the owners name. As soon as I paid, it changed to a rental agency. Our stay started on a weekend, so we had to pick up our keys and welcome packet from the rental agency. They provided adequate instructions to do so by email, the pickup process was easy and they provided turn by turn directions to the cabin. The cabin is accessed by paved roads, and the driveway is paved, but relatively steep. The cabin is cute and pretty much looked like the pictures on the listing. Upon entering, we were immediately disappointed by the cleanliness. There was white dog hair, sticky spots and gummy bits in the kitchen. It very obviously had not been mopped since the last guests. Bathrooms and kitchen (other than the floor) seemed clean. The rest of the house was just generally dusty and cobwebby. When we pushed the love seat back to allow room to extend recliners, there was all kinds of debris, dirt and trash. I didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot anywhere in the house. The old TV sets you see in the photos are still there. I see they have now changed the listing since I suggested that on my checkout review, but the listing did say “4 new TVs”. This was very important to us. We enjoy relaxing with a movie at night after being out all day. The tv in the living room has wavy lines running the entire length on the top. If you want to use Blu-ray or surround sound, you have to figure out how to hook it up. There’s a pretty comfortable recliner, a love seat with two seats that recline but are difficult to put back down because the cushion gets caught, and a rustic type cushioned chair that was not comfortable to us. So, the living room sits 3-4 people. The kitchen was decently appointed and included some spices, salt and pepper, coffee filters, which I always appreciate. Linens are provided, including kitchen towels and dish cloths. They provided 2 coffee pods and 2 dishwasher soap packs. The master bath shower was great! Great pressure, lots of hot water, massaging handheld shower head, probably my favorite part of the house. There’s a small gas grill and a fire pit No chairs for it though! View on photos looks about 10 years old too. Trees have grown a lot and there’s a sliver of a Mountain View above.

Wonderful Cabin.

Just wanted to drop a line and say what a beautiful cabin you have! Beautiful views and the attention you've given to small details in your decorating make it a wonderful getaway. The one thing that we found that we didn't know you had was a fire pit out front, which made for a great night of s'more makings! Thank you again for allowing us the opportunity of experiencing such a delightful getaway!
