Cold showers upstairs lukewarm downstairs
Two of my visiting engineering visitors both said the hot water system is inadequate for this size house. We had to rent another VRBO for our family and this owner refused to let us out of the 10-week lease saying it was up to Costa Rican standards and I should have known! Otherwise a lovely home, but two hours plus to activities unlike what website described.

Beautiful house, Gorgeous view
This house is beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved our time on the terrace taking everything in. I could enjoy coffee, reading and meals there all day. The kitchen is large and had nice appliances. We didn't spend much time in the living room but it was sufficient. We all slept well in the beds although the mattresses could use protectors and fitted sheets that actually fit. The information on this property needs to be updated and corrected. This house does NOT have air conditioning. This was one of my top three search items because I was travelling with my elderly parents and I have a medical condition that makes me extremely sensitive to heat. That being said, we were not at the house very much during the daytime hours when the temperature was the highest. During the night, it cools down enough to open the windows and was almost cold. There is a different house manager from the names provided in the description. Martin was friendly but we had a hard time understanding directions he provided. It would have been nice to have written information regarding local restaurants, shops and things to do. There was no welcome basket or fruit which was not a big deal but knowing that might have saved us a trip that first evening. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom on the main floor. The master bedroom upstairs has an incredible view and offers a master bath. The water in the master bath is solar heated so 3/4 of our showers were cool/cold. The master bath sink doesn't offer hot water at all and lights needed to be replaced over the vanity. Prior to arrival, we were informed there would be a cell phone for our use during the stay. This was amazing because it would allow us to make local calls and would provide GPS during our outings. There was not a phone for our use. This was a big disappointment as we ended up spending money on a phone that we hadn't planned on. It seems like I'm pointing out a lot of negative however this house is beautiful and clean. The grounds are incredibly well kept and the view is gorgeous. We joked that we could stay at the house the entire trip, just taking in the view. We watched birds, bugs and lizards as we relaxed. We wish we would have had more time to walk the trails and explore the property more. The location was great and we found a lot to do. We would recommend the place to friends and return ourselves.

Home away from home!
From beginning to end our stay was simply amazing! Starting with our first correspondence with Joe to saying goodbye to the property managers Tim and Rachelle, who are just the best, our stay was beyond compare. The house is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable, you will want for nothing. The views are breathtaking and the cool temperatures make for an enjoyable sleep. Downtown San Ramon is very close in proximity, making for easy shopping, dining or just to submerge yourself in the daily life of ticos//ticas.
