This is a great cottage for a small family. My sister, her husband and their two young boys loved the animals on the wall, the proximity of the bedrooms, and the fully equipped kitchen. The house was clean. The owners are great as well.
We were returning guests at this cozy cottage. This place just gets better and better over the years. You can tell there is a lot of heart that goes into this rental. We really enjoyed the fire pit, the outside deck with gas grill & burner and new pots & pans. This is a great location close to Knoebles but still feels hidden away. We loved walking around the lake to see all the animals-- chickens, beavers, deer, turtles. The best part of this place is the owners. We had a small issue with the shower which was fixed immediately. The communication was great, too! Truly fantastic hosts who set the bar very high for any other vacation rental. We could not give a higher review-- this place is a 12 on a scale from 1-10.

My stay
The cabin itself, and the property was beautiful. We were disappointed because your ad made it seem that the cabin was right on the lake. We were supposed to stay a third night, but did not. The bed in the second bedroom – the twin beds – we’re so uncomfortable. You should consider putting some type of foam support or some thing. Definitely made my hip and back hurt.
We enjoyed the peaceful setting. Thank you for making your home available to others.

The cabin was wonderful. The road to the cabin was horrible. It is full of potholes making driving very difficult. The advertisement mentions Wildlife, but fails to mention the chickens and rosters (ducks also but can understand because of the lake) running freely (and on the porch to wake you up at the crack of dawn). Communication with the owners was void. The information book contained 2 different wifi passwords and ways to connect. I sent a text to both numbers in the book and neither responded. It wasn't until my husband found a frame on the wall containing a third way to connect to the internet that it was successful.
We planned a weekend trip for our 76 yr old father, to celebrate his bday and father's day. We went to the yuengling brewery tour Saturday, spent the night in this adorable cabin Saturday night. We all fished( caught some nice ones)relaxed arounda fire, it was so fun! They provided Everything you need to have an amazing time!
We were able to visit family in the area while enjoying a cabin experience. The best part was opening the back door and relaxing with the view of trees and the sound of the small stream. We didn’t spend much time at the cabin but there was everything available if you wanted to build a campfire, fish in the lake, or relax on the back deck.
A sort stay in this well equipped cabin, warm cosy, lovely woodland setting near to the lake . Road access a little bumpy due to weather/ ice and some run down cabins. Roomy, comfortable, tv and wifi, nice shower. Mounted trophies on wall add to the ‘hunting lodge’ feel. Will stay again.
Had a great time at this place. Wonderful opportunity to relax in the cozy cabin. My girlfriend and I loved the view of the property in the snow/winter. Great place to stay with your partner!
We look for tranquility, and more fun with the campfire that was very excellent for my children they had fun they enjoyed the stream and the cabin, I recommend them,
Wonderful cabin in a community with an interesting history. Sitting on the back deck, you look out into the mossy/ferny woods - we ate every meal there, and I could have spent the whole day, but the fishing, boating and hiking were too much fun to pass up!
This cabin was great and just as described. The owner Ray, was always around the lake community and was very friendly and accommodating. The lake unfortunately was plagued with lake grass but the open spots were great for catching blue gills. I did see some small mouth bass swimming around but they chose to stay elusive. Knoebels is about 30 minutes away and the Ashland mine tour was about 15 minutes. FYI I wouldn't count on local restaurants if you are staying during the week a lot of them are only open on the weekends due to the labor issues across the country. All in all we had a great time. Clean, updated cabin in the heart of PA.
We had a lovely stay. The property was clean, adorable and quiet. We had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The back area was a pleasant surprise as well- a small bridge to the fire pit area. Gorgeous neighborhood and property. Would definitely recommend!
