Dear Paul and family, We are sorry to read your review, which in our opinion does not correctly reflect either the quality of the villa "Le Maria" or the commitment we dedicate to welcoming our guests. As for the pool area, it is true that there is no mobile umbrella, but the villa offers large areas of natural and structured shade: a centuries-old olive tree that creates about 40 square meters of shade in the garden, and a canopy equipped with a table and chairs of about 50 square meters. These spaces are designed to ensure maximum relaxation, even in the hottest hours. There are six deckchairs: only one had a damaged wheel, which did not compromise its use. Regarding the alleged "mold", we would like to point out that the entire villa was designed by an interior designer. The room mentioned – which, among other things, was not used during the stay – deliberately features walls with a material effect, designed to recall the authentic aesthetics of Iblean architecture. It is not a matter of mold or degradation, but of a precise stylistic choice, verified and free of any hygienic problems. We would also like to recall a significant episode: on the first day, you contacted us reporting an alleged malfunction of the bathroom sink. In less than 15 minutes, we intervened with the plumber, only to find that there was no technical problem, but simply that the cap was closed. A completely understandable oversight, but one that does not depend on the structure. Even in this case, however, we have demonstrated our maximum availability and timeliness. Regarding the traffic noise, the villa is located along a provincial road, as clearly indicated on the map in the advertisement. Unfortunately, we do not yet have decision-making power over traffic😉, but we would like to point out that the bedrooms are all on the opposite side of the road, overlooking the countryside: in fact, no noise is perceived inside. Finally, the flooring is made of natural wood parquet: a quality choice that may naturally show some signs of wear over time, but it does not compromise the beauty or comfort of the home. Indeed, this is precisely the charm of real wood, which lives and reflects the passage of time. We are always open to constructive comments, but such a negative assessment—based on inaccurate or non-objective information—unfairly damages a property that is meticulously maintained and managed with dedication. Per quanto riguarda la zona piscina, è vero che non è presente un ombrellone mobile, ma la villa offre ampie zone d’ombra naturali e strutturate: un ulivo secolare che crea circa 40mq di ombra nel giardino, e una tettoia attrezzata con tavolo e sedie di circa 50mq. Spazi pensati per garantire il massimo relax anche nelle ore più calde. Le sdraio sono sei: solo una presentava una ruota danneggiata, senza comprometterne l’uso. In merito alla presunta “muffa”, precisiamo che l’intera villa è stata progettata da un interior designer. La stanza citata — tra l’altro non utilizzata durante il soggiorno — presenta volutamente pareti con effetto materico, studiato per richiamare l’estetica autentica dell’architettura iblea. Non si tratta di muffa né di degrado, bensì di una scelta stilistica precisa, verificata e priva di qualunque problematica igienica. Vorremmo anche ricordare un episodio significativo: il primo giorno ci ha contattati segnalando un presunto guasto al lavandino del bagno. In meno di 15 minuti siamo intervenuti con l’idraulico, per poi constatare che non vi era alcun problema tecnico, ma semplicemente che il tappo era chiuso. Una svista del tutto comprensibile, ma che non dipende dalla struttura. Anche in questo caso, però, abbiamo dato prova della nostra massima disponibilità e tempestività. Riguardo al rumore del traffico, la villa si trova lungo una strada provinciale, come chiaramente indicato nella mappa presente nell’annuncio. Purtroppo sul traffico non abbiamo ancora potere decisionale 😉, ma ci teniamo a sottolineare che le camere da letto sono tutte sul lato opposto alla strada, affacciate sulla campagna: all’interno, infatti, non si percepiscono rumori. Infine, per quanto riguarda il pavimento, è realizzato in parquet di legno naturale: una scelta di qualità che può naturalmente presentare qualche segno di usura col tempo, ma che non compromette né la bellezza né il comfort dell’abitazione. Anzi, è proprio questo il fascino del legno vero, che vive e racconta il tempo. Siamo sempre aperti a osservazioni costruttive, ma una valutazione così negativa — fondata su elementi inesatti o non oggettivi — danneggia ingiustamente una struttura curata e gestita con serietà e dedizione.
