About this property

Romantic Lodge on the Pilgrims way, Hollingbourne nestled in the Northdowns

Northdown Lodge is situated in the idyllic hamlet of Broad Street on the Northdowns, an area of outstanding natural beauty. A well-appointed 2 bedroom (both en-suite) lodge ideally located close to Leeds castle "the most beautiful castle in the world", being just a 5 minute drive away where there are often events and displays held, including classical open air concerts, open air cinema, jousting and medieval displays just to name a few. There are daily displays of Birds of Prey and an excellent play park for children. For weary legs you can take the land train back or cross the lake by boat, so don't forget your change for those.
There are many cosy country pubs locally and the coast is also within easy reach including the popular town of Whitstable being just a 30m drive. The area is popular with walkers.
We have enjoyed converting the lodge with our guests’ comfort in mind, we hope you will enjoy winter nights snuggled up on the sofas next to the log burning stove or in the summer enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the paddock and views.
Whether it be romantic getaway, a family stay or friends escaping for a weekend away together Northdown Lodge is the perfect destination for your trip.
We also have stables on site should you like to bring your horse (by separate arrangement) to explore the stunning riding routes around. If your children like animals we are happy to introduce them to the ponies and horses.
The barn was completed and open for business in May 2019. A former barn which was later used as offices and workshop has now become our little haven for you lovely folk to enjoy. we have attached photos of the plans so you can see the space clearly but please note we decided to make both bedrooms en-suite instead of how it is situated on the plan.
Please note that both bedrooms can be set up as twins or doubles, you will need to advise us in advance. Unless we are advised otherwise we will set the beds up as 2 doubles. A travel cot is also available for your convenience.
