About the host

Host profile image
I moved in with my partner at the start of the covid pandemic, and never returned back to the Apartment! It's now been a holiday let since 2021, enjoyed by guests from all over the world. I enjoy being a host and helping people to experience our corner of England in Kent, we'll help to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as we can.

Why they chose this property

I moved out of London in 1997 and became a commuter from Kent to the West End, looking for a healthier family lifestyle, which is exactly what we found.

What makes this property unique

The accommodation is a large, roomy loft-style Apartment located in the heart of Cranbrook town. It's on the ground floor of St David's House and originally built as a coffee house dating back to the 1880's, retaining lots of original features in a stylish and comfortable space. Guests will find plenty of options for eating and drinking within a two-minute walk as well as independent shops on Stone Street and the High Street. Cranbrook is a great base for visiting National Trust and English Heritage properties, and for the gardens at Sissinghurst Castle and Great Dixter. The town is in the centre of English winemaking at famous wineries such as Chapel Down and Balfour, close to the delightful towns of Tenterden and Rye, and the whole area is criss-crossed with country paths and lanes to explore.
