Lazy Bear Lodge, is a one-of-a-kind, state of the art log home.
Located just 90 minutes north of Atlanta, it is a hop, skip and a jump to enjoy majestic beauty in its entire splendor!
Situated on 4 secluded acres, yet just a stone's throw away from major intersections, shopping and all attractions, Lazy Bear Lodge offers the ultimate in relaxation and privacy, and has something for every age group.
Whether you are traveling with 20+ people, or are just a small intimate group of 4-6 people, the "Lodge" is comfy and cozy. The "Lodge" can accommodate 22 adults and 2 infants (in cribs) without feeling crowded. Though it is more than 5000 square feet, you will find yourself using all parts of the house, because each area has something wonderful to offer.
The home itself has 2 kitchens and dining rooms, 6 bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths, a fireplace, and a newly constructed media room with a 70" flat screen TV, and gorgeous pool table.
There is no end to the amenities this home has.
While away the hours on the 2 covered decks , both with comfortable furniture, and experience the breath-taking scenery.
Looking over the back deck, one can see the brand new 7 person, 52 jetted spa with LED lights, waterfalls, and Bluetooth! Sit and relax after a long day of sightseeing, shopping and touring in nearby Helen, Clarksville and Dahlonega.
The outside property is very special. There is an over sized swing, and rocking chairs that sit by a large stone fire pit. Just enjoy the warmth of the fire on a chilly night.
The piece de resistance is the large private swimming pool, with seats and jets in all 4 corners! There is even a lovely little cabana and changing room for your convenience!
The North Georgia Mountain area is bustling with things to do. Whether you are into wineries, antiques, quaint towns, historic sights, or outdoor activities, we have the perfect pastime for you!

The location was great, easy access to Mount Yonah for hiking and some restaurants. The drive from Atlanta was easy without a lot of winding mountain roads, and there was a lot to keep the kids entertained

Our family of 15 came together from Florida,Tennessee and Idaho and had a great stay at the Lazy Bear Lodge. The cabin had plenty of room for everyone, and we really the hot tub and fire pit in the evenings. It was the perfect place to relax and spend time together. The location was also great, only about 10 minutes from downtown Helen, GA. A beautiful resort town with lots of shops and great places to eat. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely would recommend this cabin for large families.

We spent Thanksgiving 2025 at the lodge bear lodge and I had an amazing time! The space was very clean, cozy, and the property owners went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, including supplies. The check-in process was very easy, the property owners were accommodating and very communicative, I would highly recommend staying! Our family had an amazing and memorable holiday.

We arranged a bachelorette trip to the Lazy Bear Lodge and had an incredible time. The owners were very easy to communicate with and accommodating, on top of having such a wonderful property. While incredibly spacious with a variety of spaces to relax, the home has a very welcoming, cozy vibe. Our favorite time was relaxing in the great room after a day of hiking, followed by movie night in the theater room. My brother in law and sister loved the karaoke, whereas I wanted to burn the machine down! Everyone reported very comfortable beds - essential after active days. Just wonderful in all respects.

the home was absolutely fantastic and the property owner was extremely responsive and accessible. we hosted about 35 people at the house for an afternoon wedding. we could not have been happier; there was plenty of room for the caterer and everyone to spread out comfortably. Additionally there are tons of games in the lower part of the home to keep everyone entertained in the evenings.

We stayed at Lazy Bear with 2 other families, 8 kids total and had a wonderful time. The house is perfect for multiple families. Great Place for a Retreat

The lodge was a great place to stay! We held a ladies retreat for our church there, and it had everything we needed! The location was beautiful, and the lodge had plenty of room for us. We were worried about having enough seating, but it was never a concern. The lodge itself was stunning and well maintained. We would stay there again!

Amazing cabin!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lazy Bear Lodge! We brought 22 people in our college ministry and had a blast hanging out in the game room/movie room, the cozy living room and the hot tub. This cabin has everything you possibly need for a big group and LOTS of space for everyone.

The White’s Family Vacation

Lazy Bear Lodge is a vacation location everyone enjoyed. The amenities are exceptional and there is everything provided for an excellent experience. We were in close proximity to everything we wanted to do in Helen and the surrounding area from trout fishing, tubing, zip lining and the roller coaster. It is an easy drive to Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia, You can’t go wrong staying at Lazy Bear Lodge.

Lazy Bear is great. The house itself is spacious and well appointed. We had a group of 18 people which included teenagers. More than enough room for everyone to spread out and not feel cramped. The location is perfect, with Helen only a few miles away. We look forward to our next stay.

Fantastic Vacation!

Our family summer vacation with you could not have been any more perfect! There were 15 of us, ranging in age from 7 to 77, and the property was so spacious that we could all have our own space and privacy. The amenities are unbelievable and the pool just made the stay for the kids! The house was so very clean, and was stocked better than any other property we have ever rented for our family summer vacation. My wife took some of the grandkids for a hike up the mountain, and found such beautiful waterfalls and the absolute beauty of God’s creation! We even got visited by a deer one morning! We will be back! Thanks for everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed this spacious cabin. It was perfect for our team building event. There was plenty of room for all 19 of us. The game/theater room was so much fun. We loved all the outdoor seating on the patio! It was clean and the owners were very accommodating, Not one single complaint! We will be back in the near future.

In 2013, Rob and I fell in love with the North Georgia Mountains and purchased Cameron House Retreat, (VRBO #243669).
Now we have teamed up with good friends Susan and Fred Peritz to acquire Lazy Bear Lodge.
We all live and work in South Florida, and thought this would be a great project to work on together, and also have a wonderful house to vacation in. We are all enjoying the hard work, and are happy you will get to enjoy the fruits of our labor!
