Croagh Patrick
It was the first time we ever did a VRBO rental so we were a bit anxious but no need to worry everything was amazing. The house was exactly as it looks in the photos…the view of Croagh Patrick is spectacular, you would never get bored looking at the mountain cos it’s constantly changing.. we walked up CP and made it to the top, if ya do that I would recommend walking boots & get urself a stick…it was a bit scary but we did it and glad we did!! Shay and Dee were awesome, if we needed anything they were right there and nothing was too much trouble.. We didn’t have a car (only when family came) but there is buses that go by the house that bring you to Westport, I think every hour or so, unfortunately they are not accessible. We were a 10 min walk to Lecavney pier which is a great beach and most importantly Stauntons pub is only a 5 min walk. We spent a lot of time there. Therese & Lucy in the pub are just fabulous and Arthur the dog too! You will not be a stranger in that pub😀 also we found a great taxi driver called Patricia who owns Westport Cabs, only 20 mins to Westport. Hopefully we will get to go back again but we would recommend this house for large groups.
