The location of this condo stands out as you have access to amazing beaches without having to go farther than your front door. Make sure that you read the small print, because the large title of included rental car is misleading-the car rental is only included for rentals of 6 days or more. My only complaint would be the uncomfortable bed which made sleep difficult for both me and my spouse. It is aged and sags in different spots. If the bed is replaced, I think that this would be a great place to stay.

Lovely Honua Kai

This unit is in a corner of Honua Kai overlooking the courtyard and then the pool and ocean. It's a good view and is lovely to sit out on the lanai. The doors open all the way allowing you to have an indoor/outdoor feel day and night. At the time of our stay, Honua Kai had a couple of cranes in the middle of the courtyard. The check in process was easy. I was very happy to have access to 2 boogie boards, beach chairs and a cooler. That was super nice. The only little ding I would give this unit is that the couch, pillows and outdoor chair could use refreshing. Overall, a lovely stay. Thank you.

Awesome property!!!

We were there for two weeks. The first week was in Condo 550 in Konea Bldg. For the value of the property and the rental rate it should been in better condition. Window shades were broken, one door to patio would not open, refrigerator shelves were broken and the AC unit on kitchen and living area was less than adequate. View and patio we're awesome. Interior just needs some TLC and information and operating guides. The second week we stayed in Condo 537 in the other bldg. Everything was perfect there except no garbage disposal and the lighting in the bath was terrible!!! It had information and operational guidelines for appliances which was very much appreciated.

Aloha, We are so happy you had a fabulous time with us! To operate the window shades, use the LEFT rod (not the right) and they will will operate seamlessly. The lock on the patio door turns to the left, and then use the secondary lock to open all the lanai doors to the exterior. The viking refrigerator is equipped with adjustable shelving and storage - if you move the storage drawers to the top to accommodate your large food item the top door will be inhibited from opening - it is not broken - it needs to be lowered to the original location. In unit 537 (and all Honua Kai units) the lights in the bathroom are on a dimmer located to the left of the switch. If you inadvertently lower the dimmer while turning off the lights simply raise the dimmer bar and the lights will return to full brightness! See you again soon!

Unit was perfect for 1 Adult and young teen girls. Super comfortable and nicely appointed. They had plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas to bring along for beach days. For being on the 5th floor, still had a good view of the ocean and pools. KBM customer service was "EXCELLENT." They were very communicative and responsive.

Far exceeded our expectations

Our stay at the Honua Kai, unit 537, was amazing! The process of check in and check out was seamless and easy. The unit had everything you needed from beach gear to laundry detergent and coffee filters! The grounds were beautiful and our kids loved the pools. Overall, our stay was more than we could have asked for.

Honua Kai is great and beach out front is great for snorkeling. A few of the hot tubs weren’t fully working while we were there, but pools are great to keep the kiddos happy.

We just returned from a 7 night vacation. Our room was exactly as pictured inside and the view. KBM was very easy to work with. Honua Kai was a beautiful resort. Duke's restaurant is a bit pricey but its nice to have an onsite restaurant for the times you just don't want to leave. We walked the beach every morning and watched the sunset some evenings. There is a nice boardwalk that goes in front of all the resorts almost to Black Rock. I would definitely book through KBM again and stay at Honua Kai again!

KBM was easy to work with. Customer service was helpful with questions. Honua Kai is in a great location and is a beautiful property. Lots of young families with children so if you are looking for a quiet adult friendly condo, you may consider other places. Honua Kai does offer adult only pool area and it is nice quiet area to relax.
