This striking, well-appointed vacation home is the large upper unit of a duplex in one of the more charming and quiet locations in Avalon. The first or master bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, the third bedroom has continental bunk beds, and the living room holds a queen sofa sleeper. This home offers an updated kitchen and dining area, 60 inch living room TV, a TV in each bedroom, and many updated amenities, which make this vacation home unique and comfortable. If required, heat is provided by three space heaters. No smoking. QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited). 315E Upper | | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day).

Lovely home! One thing that stands out about this home is how kid-welcoming it is! It had loads of kids books and a whole huge bin of kids toys that my kids absolutely adored! Highly recommend for people with children, especially young children and toddlers ! The location was very great too- within 15 min walk from the port and a 2 min walk to the market! The decorations were nice too and the home was very well stocked. Highly recommend!

Loved our stay. Could walk every where and conveniently located near grocery store. If your looking for a water view this is not the house, but doesn't really matter if it takes 3 minutes to walk to it :)

Upper level apartment was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. All 7 of our family, including two kids, stayed comfortably for two nights. Great walking location to everything in Avalon. Really easy check in and they kindly accommodated a late check out for our group.

Centrally located just steps away from the new Vons and local to everything but in a quiet street. The property managers were very accommodating and great to deal with making an extra special birthday celebration for our family. Will be back again.

Perfect for Girls Weekend

The house was the perfect fit for our girls weekend (5 adults)! We liked that there were two bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and the couch was also perfect for us to gather and watch a movie. The location was the best part. A 5 minute walk to the shore where all the restaurants and shops are. It was a very easy 10 minute walk to the ferry port as well. Thank you for the great stay!

Perfect location to celebrate any occasion!

This house was so well located on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. But, when we wanted to shop, eat, drink or sight see we were just steps away! The house was decorated so well and had everything we needed. You felt a true connection to the island and as I said you were never far from anything you needed. We had planned on renting a golf cart, but soon realized we didn’t need one with this house! 10/10 would stay again!

Great location, comfortable & well-equipped!! Wish the ice maker was hooked-up, management said it was because of the drought? Nicely decorated, but sofa & chair cushions need to be cleaned. Wonderful for a family...all sorts of books, toys, games, etc. Kichen well equipped! Great experience in a quaint, lovely setting! Highly recommend!

Great stay in Avalon

This is a great duplex property in the heart of Avalon. Steps away from the market, it is centrally located and easy to walk to most everything in town. One of the hidden gems of this property is that Eucalyptus Ave is closed to cars, which makes for a comfortable environment when you're walking down the street, especially with kids. The property itself is well maintained and well stocked. The kitchen has plenty of cookware, plates, glasses, etc. The washer/dryer is convenient if you need to do laundry. There are plenty of fans, which is useful during the summer. The owner has even taken the time to mount power strips in each bedroom so that there are outlets easily accessible for guests. The living area is quite large and able to comfortably fit everyone. Overall, this is a great property if you are staying in Avalon.

A Perfect Family Getaway

The location of this property is perfect! The property is on a quiet street, steps away from the grocery store, and a short walk to the pier, restaurants and shops. The house was clean, and the check in process was easy. The property is well stocked with kitchen utensils, a grill, beach chairs, beach towels, and a stackable washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable and the living area was spacious. It had plenty of room for our family. It does not really have an outdoor space, and it got warm in the afternoons. We kept the ceiling fans on and windows open in the evening to let in the breeze. It wasn't really a problem just something to be aware of. The stairs leading up to the house are very steep and may be difficult for a small child. We have stayed in many other properties in Catalina, and this one was by far our favorite. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Catalina home with us. It was a perfect family getaway.

Great location & nice place, but some details need attention

The place is very nice- beds are comfortable and the kitchen is updated. It was easy check-in and conveniently located. There were however two things that made it less than 5 stars: 1- the sheets in the master king bedroom were covered in dog hair and also some human hair so had to lay down another sheet that we found in a closet over top to sleep the first night. The property mgmt group sent over housekeeping to fix this the next morning which was nice, but there was no apology or follow up so kinda weird. 2- The listing indicates bunk beds, but this is not accurate. Each extra bedroom has a queen bed. There are also beach towels which is nice (even though property mgmt said there were not any and the listing doesnt include them). Communication with property mgmt appears to all be via text so keep that in mind too.

Great Location, Maintenance Issues

Overall, I'd say the pros outweigh the cons of this property. The check-in process was super easy - a lock-box on the door allowed for easy access. The property is upstairs, so if you have any guests with mobility issues, keep that in mind (my MIL was less than thrilled about climbing stairs). The property is in a great location, across the street from the Vons and just a short stroll to the downtown area. The place was clean and comfortable, however, there were a few maintenance issues that I emailed to the company when we checked out (I never got a response confirming they received this or fixed the problems). The ceiling fans were so loose that it seemed they would fly off the wall. Thankfully it wasn't too warm, so we ended up not using them. The dishwasher was broken when we arrived, and we had to hand wash all of our dishes...that wouldn't have been a huge issue, except that there were no kitchen towels provided other than paper towels (not the most efficient for drying a lot of dishes). The outlets on two walls in the king bedroom did not work, which meant that we couldn't turn on the lamps or plug in our phones at night. Lastly, they are super anxious to have you out before 10 AM - their staff comes by to drop off new linens around 9 AM. Be sure to book the luggage pick-up service next to the ferry landing if you plan on taking the late ferry and don't want to slog your bags around with you. For the price of this property, I would expect everything to be perfect.

Wonderful place!

My family loved this place. It was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and a convenient location. I couldn’t ask for a better stay! We would certainly stay here again. The only thing that we could think of which can be improved is the tv/remote system. It’s not very user friendly and probably a little outdated. Other than that, this place was awesome.
