Perfect for our family getaway. The house was clean, comfortable, and had ample space. The proximity to the beach and restaurants was ideal. We had a great time and would definitely consider staying here again.
Great patio and outdoor space. There is a mild smell that was strange in the property but you go nose blind to it pretty quickly so not a big deal. Tanning on the patio and grilling at night was awesome!

Great stay. House met all of our needs and the deck was awesome. Very centrally located for us as we did scuba diving all day every day and was just a short walk. Place was clean and nice. will def be coming back.

The stay was very enjoyable and the communication with the property management was on point. Besides a small maintenance issues with a bathroom light, the house was very cozy and all of our guest enjoyed the stay. Would most likely book this property again in the future.

Exceeded expectations.
I was pleasantly surprised with how stocked this place was! Full kitchenware, plates, bowls, utensils, cleaning supplies, extra towels, plenty of toilet paper, I mean you name it! This place was great!! And a literal 4 min walk from the water. Next time I come back I’ll be looking for this place to book again!

Stayed here for my birthday this past weekend and had THE BEST time! The condo is so lovely, clean, and right in downtown so everything is within walking distance. The front patio has a beautiful view and is great to relax at in the morning & evening. Thank you to Veronica for allowing an early check in as well!!
We had a great time in this unit and wished we had stayed longer. Plenty of space for our small family and lots of amenities and good location. Place was very clean. The description is correct about hearing the folks upstairs, you hear every footstep. Fortunately our upstairs neighbors were pretty quiet. One thing not mentioned is the labradorite countertops used throughout. This is a really special stone with opal-like optical properties and it was one of my favorite things about the unit. Nice grill on the deck and great place for a meal.
Beautifully updated home (we were in lower unit) and very nice and helpful manager (Mike)…my 5-star rating stands, but It would be a perfect house with a few fixes: better water pressure in the bathroom sinks, working cable (tv), easier to lock front door, several windows don’t lock (at least easily)…but we still had a marvelous time—thanks!
My wife and our four teenage children stayed 3 nights at this property. It is the lower unit of a two story home. The downside is you can hear nearly all the movements guests in the upstairs unit make - moving chairs, flushing toilets, etc. There were some things missing when we arrived but the host was quick to respond to our needs and feedback. While we would not stay at this specific property again, I would be happy to stay at another property owned by this host.
The contact person was wonderful, I arrived in the morning and while check-in is officially 3:00pm, they were able to get me in by noon. The place was clean and had everything you could need (including an extensive movie library in case of rain) very close to town on a short dead-end street. No excessive noise in the neighborhood. Not really any view from the lower unit but that is OK, Everyplace you go in Avalon and on the island has great views! Minor noise from the upstairs unit (occasional footsteps or a chair being moved.) Nothing that you would even notice if you were talking to people in your unit or if you had the TV on...

Couldn’t lock door, poop literally floating in toilet, trash full the moment we walked in, ants in bathroom, sheets not clean...random female hairs all over pillows and sheets. I know your cleaning fee is high....I really and seriously want my money back, please contact me ASAP. Random dirty tshirt drapped over the kitchen chair.

Horrible Smell / Nice Location
Stayed 2 nights with 7 adults and 1 child in July.Things We Loved: -Location (close walk to city center & water) -Ice/water dispenser on fridge -Pretty views-Mostly quiet area -Spacious for our group -Beautiful back patio with tables/chairs Could've Been Better: -Bathroom/bedroom windows have full visibility from the outside at night time if blinds are open -Sheer window coverings throughout house... very bright light on the back porch that wouldn't turn off and kept the living room area fully illuminated all night (this is where we slept) -Foldout couches were not the most comfortable Irredeemable Issue:(!) We were greeted with a horrendous odor the first night (dead animal level smell). Reported to our Guest Contact who put deodorizers/sprays in the house the following day, but the smell persisted and was honestly hard to sleep/breathe through. Reported this issue after our stay, and the owner offered a roughly 30% refund which we found to be reasonable enough. Unfortunately, even if we had booked the house at 30% less to begin with, the smell still would've been a terrible issue, and this is why we could never recommend this property or choose to return.

Only access is French doors-that DO NOT lock, water pressure in both bathroom sinks is a slight dribble, light out in the master bath, washer full of water with load of dirty textiles, dryer was full of textiles, people upstairs noisy, not worth the money.
The unit was clean and tidy. The WIFI was only partially useful as it didn't reach beyond the main living room, and because of this, the Roku in the bedrooms didn't work. This was fine for us but perhaps a consideration for a large group. Also, I would have washed the towels, but no laundry soap. Not sure if the dishwasher worked, we started it before we left. Overall, our experience was very good and I will be using Vrbo again.

Great location for our needs.
Very clean when we arrived. Excellent kitchen appliances.
Not large, but very efficiently designed space. Very functional furniture, especially as it opens to a large outdoor patio with its tables and chairs.
The patio with Weber grill was terrific.
As reviews had warned, the master bathroom sink has very low water pressure and slow drainage. But the showers were fine and water pressure everywhere else was good. The front door handle/lock are not good — but we understand a replacement has been ordered. Reviews had also warned of a big uphill walk to the cottage; we had a large group and no one found this to be the case.
Assuming the owner gets the master bath sink and door situation fixed, we hope to return next year.
Great property and checkin/out was efficient. Our teenage girls spoiled some linens from their recent pink hair dye experiment gone wrong and we apologized for the inconvenience of having to replace the linens and gladly paid for the expense incurred to the owners. Would highly recommend as close to town option.

Island charm, that comes with a workout!
I rented this property with two other couples for the JazzTrax weekend. Location perfect on the West side of Avalon, nice and quiet and close to the Casino. However, up a steep hillside and numerous steps, so not for the unconditioned. Definitely a "fell the burn" walk several times a day. Nice updated bathrooms and kitchen, but still it's an old home with it's funk and quaintness. Fine for the (5) of us, I shared a bathroom, but more than that, unless all family members...I'd say not. There were (3) ladies who had rented the upstairs, which as others spoke about, you do hear them walking and water and toilet flushes. But not really an issue. Check out at 10:00am normally, but Host accommodated our request for a little later check out, a BIG plus. Just in FYI. House WiFi available only between 9:00am and 11:00pm. Thank you Veronica. Kathy and her wine peeps.
Having the large outdoor space was a real plus. The fold-down couches were very comfortable for sleeping. One note: The last few blocks of the walk from downtown Avalon are definitely uphill, so perhaps not great for people with limited mobility/who tire easily. Very pleasant place for 6 people.
The ad states that there is a unit above, and you can hear some noise if it is occupied. While we were there, someone was in the unit above us. You hear a lot of noise from people walking around, dropping things, toilets flushing, etc. if you are a light sleeper, I suggest renting the top unit. We had our boat in Catalina as well, so we were out and about most of the day, really only used the unit to sleep and cook.
The kitchen was well stocked, everything was clean, new appliances, very nice!
The property manager , Veronica, was very accommodating and quick to respond via text messages.

Me and my family enjoyed the up to date home near the beach. Plenty of room and near everything. they have all you need in the kitchen and even some beach stuff like chairs and sand toys. they even have some floatable toys.

Check in was easy! Host was great. House was clean and the walk to everything was as they said. They had beach stuff like chairs floats and umbrella. So pack a little bit lighter. They have a second unit above and you can hear them walking around, but they were kids and that's didn't bother me.
