Ashfield Lodge was such a great place to stay that I really didn’t want to leave. Cosy, peaceful and spotlessly clean. You would be hard pressed to find better.
Modern pristine cottage in a beautiful location with lovely garden. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great location for exploring the many points of interest. We would be happy to stay in the cottage again in the future.
We have just enjoyed a very relaxed 5 night stay at Ashfield Lodge. This property is very well presented and appointed. Just perfect for any length of stay. The hosts, Simmie & Chris, really have given so much thought to providing their guests with everything you could need. Having stayed as a couple at many properties over the past 35 years it was obvious immediately that Ashfield Lodge is somewhere that you could permanently reside. It is a “home from home” not just a converted space to stay for a couple of nights. We would not hesitate to recommend Ashfield Lodge to anyone looking to stay in this area. A truly exceptional property.
Ashfield Lodge is in a very peaceful location but with easy access to main routes within a short distance. There are views of the garden and nearby fields. The Lodge has been tastefully designed and thoughtfully equipped. It was spotlessly clean throughout and the beds were very comfortable. There is off road parking next to the building. Simmie was very prompt with all communication and provided clear information in a helpful and friendly manner. She was very warm and welcoming, offering any help should it be required but her level of thorough preparation was such that nothing more was needed. A most enjoyable stay.
