Second stay at this cottage, Ideal for a couple with a small dog.

Second stay at this cottage, Ideal for a couple with a small dog... Location is great for getting to National trust places of interest and Shropshire's larger towns... No shops or Pubs within walking distance which was the only issue.. (But not to us)... Great wi fi and TV Channel if you have bad weather...

We had a lovely time at Lower Barn, our host Carol was very friendly and helpful 😀. The accommodation was small but cosy. It was only missing a secure garden space 😕.

Extremely comfortable and cosy cottage; fully equipped - the photographs do the property full justice. Carol, who manages the cottage, lives next door and was very welcoming and helpful in suggesting places to visit. The cottage is well-placed for seeing, for example: Long Mynd, Stiperstones, Ludlow, Stokesay Castle, Flounders' Folly and many other places (Ironbridge and Blists Hill Museum are only about an hours' drive away), with many scenic walks. Although in a rural hamlet, Lower Barn is a short drive from Craven Arms where there is a large supermarket and garden centre (Tuffins). Excellent price and highly recommended.

A charming little hideaway in a beautiful area of countryside.

A charming little hideaway in a beautiful area of countryside. This cottage was just perfect for two of us and the dogs eager to embark upon some great walking. A well equipped kitchen suited the cook, dog blanket, towels and treats for the hounds, lashings of hot water, a sparkling clean new bathroom with good shower and a very comfy bed. the hosts are very welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate us even washing some muddy clothing after a misstep. Definitely a place and cottage we'd like to return to.
