Great location at a reasonable price. Super helpful host
My son, dog and I spent Presidents’ Day weekend playing in the snow and snowboarding. We had an absolute blast and we loved the cabin that we stayed in Kathy is an amazing host and we will definitely be back during the spring time to fish in the area!
This was a last minute getaway with the family for Mother's Day weekend and the property was absolutely perfect for us. We created many memories and can't wait to return. Some of our favorite parts were reading stories from previous guests in the books on the windowsill, sitting on the porch and watching the kids explore the beautiful property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our cabin stay! The cabin was warm, stocked with everything we needed, plenty of towels, everything worked , was easy to use, and very cozy! I loved the property. We had neighbors but felt like we were secluded in the woods. I have nothing negative to say about our stay. We would definitely book again.

We are so glad our cabin worked out well for you--please come back again sometime! :)
We found this to be a very nice get-away. We were greeted by Kathy upon arrival which it was really nice to meet her in person. Any questions, or issue that may have come up, Kathy was quick to respond. It was such a nice break from the heat and we will definitely look to stay here again in the future. We also hope to ck out other Myrick' Cabins which are in a great location for fishing as well as popping into the quaint town of Greer. Easy access to nearby lakes and cities as well! The other cabins were occupied, but it still felt like we were in a private area! Perfect for families, with or without children!
The Shoshone cabin was perfect for the six of us. Two bedrooms on the first floor - one with its own bathroom. And a huge upstairs loft for the kids. At 1400sq ft I was worried it would be too small, but it was just perfect. We all had plenty of space. The location is perfect too. It’s right before the Lazy Trout Market which meant it was more quiet and secluded than the more crowded part of Greer at the end. We for sure will be back and would love to bring more families with us and have them rent the other cabins nearby as well!

We are so glad you had a good time--thank you for your lovely comments! We have a great location for groups with our 4 cabins located in the same area. We've had many groups stay with us from church groups to groups of friends & families to weddings using one or more of our Beartooth, Shoshone, Teton and Lamar cabins.
We have to wait until 11 pm to check in and she over charge 2 times deshonest owner
After booking the owner reach out and charge more money with the excuse of rates change. The property was listed for 17 people our recervation was for 12. The heck in was listed as 230 pm we arrive at 7pm and the property was a a mess durty and not clean . The owner give is a diferent cabin for 6. When i talked to the owner she. Harge event more money to get the corre t cabin. After paying event more money we have to wait until 11 pm to get in our cabin. We did have 3 infants under 1 year old and we have to wait. When confronted the owner i have your moeny i just can ask you to liave.. this woman is a horrible host. She has 4 cabins and our neighbors have similar experience.

I'm afraid the story in this review is wildly inaccurate. I did make a mistake and the cabin was not ready. I offered an apology and an upgrade to another cabin for no additional cost. Since this reservation was for 7 people, that should have been the end of it. However, during the exchange, I discovered that although she paid for 7 people, she had 13 people in her group. When she demanded discounts because the cabin wasn't ready, I advised her that due to her deception, I was within my rights to ask her to leave and if she wanted to stay, I was going to charge her correctly for the number of people in her group. She chose to stay and my staff came in and readied the original cabin for them (the upgraded cabin sleeps 10).The cabin was ready for them well before 11pm--that is an exaggeration and the comment about my other cabin guests is simply not true.

Won't be back
First, let me start with the positives. The beds were very comfortable, the gas fireplace was great, location was perfect and having Netflix was a welcome surprise. Most of the problems were small, for example, not much air in the air hockey game, the hose didn't reach to the fire pit, firewood was not protected from the rain and with no window coverings in the main room it was very bright and not private. We could see directly into the other cabins and they into ours.
The two main problems were the jetted tub and the loud party next door in the Teton cabin. When the jetted tub was started up the jets spewed brown sewage smelling chunky water rendering the master bathroom unusable for the remained of the trip due to the smell. On Saturday night there was a huge party in another cabin that kept us up much longer than we wanted to be. I wanted to call the owner to complain but was afraid of retaliation on the part of the party goers.
So, the first 24 hours were great but the second 24 was a nightmare.

I'm frustrated! We have been in business for a very long time and work hard to provide a nice place for people to vacation. As an owner, we have a responsibility to respond and take care of any problems that might arise during a guest's stay. Our guests are also responsible to do their part & notify an owner of a problem and give them a chance to correct it. Is it fair or constructive to lower a cabin rating in a review when you discover a problem and then don't give the owner a chance to make it right for your stay? No. The problem with the jetted tub was not sewage, but simply a little sediment. The sediment filter for the well was changed just before your stay. We ran the kitchen sinks but a little bit must have settled into the tub jets & would have flushed clear after a few moments. If you had called, we could have told you about it. Also, the cabin next door was not having a party, it is a large cabin and it was just a large group. I'm sorry they were loud too late at night--that was inconsiderate of them. Our guests tend to be nice people and I'm guessing that if you'd spoken to them or asked me to, we could have solved the problem quickly. Again a phone call. Regarding the little things...I'm sorry, I don't have any control how an air hockey game operates the air flow and the garden hose, on the other side of the cabin, was never intended for use at the fire pit--it is too far away. We have numerous stacks of firewood around the property from thinning trees and 32+ acres to gather it. Also, I'm sorry you weren't comfortable with the lack of window coverings on the big windows. The cabins are situated far enough away and face away from each other so the large front windows, which look out away from other cabins into the forest, don't need coverings and we have blinds on all bedroom windows for privacy. Both your main concerns--the tub and neighbors--could easily have been taken care of with a simple phone call & your stay would have been better and your review more accurate.
The cabin was within a small cluster of cabins with the front porch facing treed hillside. We loved sitting on the porch taking in the regular afternoon rains of the monsoon season! This is the only cabin in the group with a large covered porch placing it very high on our list of pluses! The interior was neat, clean and quite comfortable. Did not use the whirlpool bath though as we are older and it seemed quite slippery. We both used the tiny shower in the other bathroom. Overall a great 8 night stay in the beautiful White Mountains!
We had a great time at the cabin! I had a question upon arrival, and Kathy picked up the phone immediately, addressed my question, and her cleaning service even checked in on us the next day when ran into them cleaning another cabin to see if we needed anything. Incredibly friendly and a nice time had. Thank you!!
We loved exploring the beautiful town of Greer. We fished, hiked and enjoyed the cool weather on the porch. Our family and dogs loved this fully furnished cabin.
