Restored 1892Victorian, Hot Tub + Walkable to Downtown, Quiet Tree-lined Street
A beautifully restored 1896 home on a prime corner lot overlooking the Conrad Mansion’s gardens. In summer the backyard’s the whole draw — coffee on the deck over the mansion grounds, dinners outside, a hammock by the garden, and a private hot tub when the day winds down. Four bedrooms, a tree-lined walk to downtown, and an ideal basecamp for Glacier, Flathead Lake, and the valley.
This is our family home in Kalispell’s historic Eastside — built in 1896 for Charles D. Conrad, son of city founder Charles E. Conrad, whose landmark mansion still stands directly across the street. We’ve restored it with a designer’s eye, keeping the character of the period while making it genuinely comfortable: full of light, quietly updated, and sparkling clean for guests. Because it’s a real home and not a staged rental, it has the warmth and soul to match the history.
In summer, the backyard is the whole point — morning coffee on the deck looking out over the Conrad gardens, long dinners outside as it cools, a hammock by the garden, and a private hot tub on the quiet, fenced patio for stargazing once the day winds down.
Inside, quality furnishings and thoughtful details throughout. The designer kitchen is stocked for serious cooking and looks straight out at the gardens, with a Nespresso machine (pods provided), French press, grinder, drip maker, and stovetop pot for however you take your morning. There’s room for everyone to spread out, from a third-floor primary suite with Mission Mountain views to a basement lounge made for movie nights.
Step out the front door and you’re a tree-lined walk from downtown’s restaurants, bakeries, breweries, and boutiques — a pastry at Ceres, a scoop at Sweet Peaks — with the Conrad Mansion and its manicured gardens, open for tours, right across the street.
THE LOCATION — centered in the Flathead Valley:
• Downtown Kalispell — out the front door • Flathead Lake — 15–20 minutes (largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi) • Whitefish — 20 minutes; Whitefish Mountain Resort — 30 minutes • Bigfork — 30 minutes (art village, shops, dining) • Glacier National Park — 50 minutes (Going-to-the-Sun Road, hiking)
HIGHLIGHTS:
• Four bedrooms — 1 King, 2 Queen, 1 Twin, plus a living-room sofa bed; 2.5 baths • Designer kitchen stocked for serious cooking, overlooking the Conrad gardens, with a dining room that seats the whole group • Third-floor primary suite with Mission Mountain views • Private hot tub on a fenced backyard patio; spacious deck with outdoor dining, plus a hammock and lounge chairs • Basement entertainment lounge with large-screen TV • Two off-street parking spots (street parking also available)

We headed to Kalispell to celebrate our son/grandson and his fiancés courthouse wedding and baby shower. We stayed in this beautiful historic home with an incredible garden area and stunning kitchen. The homeowner was very welcoming and our stay was wonderful! This is our first time staying in a VRBO home and it was very nice to celebrate with family in a picturesque home where we could visit and enjoy this special time. We also enjoyed a day at Glacier park and the hatchery. Amazing place!
This charming, well renovated home has been my favorite VRBO to date! The only thing I can suggest is that the bedrooms are warm when trying to sleep, but we had warmer than average temperatures while we were there!

Thank you for being such fabulous guests, Michelle! We’re discussing how to get an AC unit for the third floor…adjusting to our new normal for summer heatwaves. We so appreciate the feedback! All the best!

We really enjoyed our stay in this historic older home. Excellent, well stocked kitchen was a big plus for our family trip. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is close proximity to parks and walking/bike trial. A great all around stay. Thanks Jenna.

beautiful historic home in the heart of Kalispell
This beautiful 3 story home was in the perfect location for our vacation. Every possible amenity you could need exist here. So much historic charm! So neat, clean and welcoming. So many wonderful places to unwind or hang out in (inside and out). Tucked away in a quiet downtown neighborhood with so much history (many historical homes and the Conrad Mansion across the street). Walking distance from parks and businesses. I'd love to stay here again!

Beautiful home with all the comforts
This home was beyond wonderful for our family. The caring owners had plenty of toys for our kids to play with in the basement and even left their stroller for us to use on our walks around Kalispell. The master bedroom feels like a special getaway and the bed was so comfortable that my husband had me ask them for the name brand after we left! The home is clean, beautiful and full of character. We will definitely look these owners up again the next time we are in this amazing part of our country.

Ingrid!
What wonderfully kind words! Thank you so much! Your sweet family was such a pleasure to host. I'll search a little deeper on bed info when we get back to the house...so tough to find a good one!! We'd love to host your crew again...maybe at the lake cabin next time! Check out the shoulder season rates if you're ever in our neck of the woods. The kids would love the spot on the lake! vrbo.com/1045996
Actually, Amelia begged to invite them down the entire car ride home the other night! ...and I almost did, but, alas, endless projects took presidence over fun time! Sigh. So happy to have met your beautiful family!!
Take care!
